I think everyone needs to take a chill pill. There is no excuse for this kind of crap. Period.
I know this should be not acceptable that's why I made this forum because this should not be avoided, a lot of gaming news website are blocking people from talking about this. Gaming Industry is in trouble..

Hold on a minute. Sure it's no ones business who anyone sleeps with, but while I don't know all the details, wasn't the issue with this girl was that she supposedly hit on stupid boys(men) or used her 'assets' to get what she wanted to get ahead? In a case like that perhaps it is someones business who's banging or flirting with someone else to get advantage or ahead, but also equally so the donkey who played along with it.
Last decade I worked in the gaming media for around four years, the site while online is just in name, new staff/focus so I won't go there to be fair to them. Anyway things were nice for around 3 years of it, in the last year I was there a early 20s girl got on staff. She did I think art and tech reviews for stuff, but she wanted to move up, her idea was basically selling her body or the chance to get it, to get ahead. Long story short in the end she had bedded one if not both the co-owners, and most of the original older than I was staff or at least hinted towards it, and ultimately she caused one marriage with a wife and child to end in divorce. I wouldn't play into it, so she made up stories and doctored the messageboard (we had a live chat box) chat box logs to show I was flashing porn to kids when in fact it was her (which I could see on my end and had it logged.) They didn't care, t&a won over facts, so before they could ice me I quit on my terms first.
So when I see accusations of someone using their body or promises of it to get ahead, in particular with the very immature gaming media, it throws up a lot of red flags and I don't automatically fall into the slut shaming, but I do also have no love for those going 'protect the girl' saying it's not peoples business what some else does. The fact is, (for sake of argument) if this girl was whoring to get ahead, sure a lot of the third party internet armchair douchebaggery is too much, but anyone laying out the details related to it, have every right to do so and that should be logically with real evidence refuted or odds are, you're a bum and you're caught.
The thing is if someone does this kind of stuff to get ahead, it should be made public. It goes to show the kind of character they have and the type of workplace they'll foster, relationships too in and out of the office. I'm sure most here would want to know if someone was whoring to get ahead because they may be the other part of that partnership (romance) or working with such a scumbag and could be a victim of their behavior. People in that case do have a right to do what kind of garbage they're dealing with or walking into.

I feel for you. That's the kind of horrible crap that seems too common online, especially with poorly administrated gaming sites.
Obs. 1: Depression Quest is free.
Obs. 2: I have yet to see a critical discussion of this woman that wasn't filled with the most disgusting sort of misogynistic sentiments.
Comment: It never has been, nor will it ever be any of your business who this woman chooses to sleep with.
That is as far as I am wading into this.
1. I have no opinion on the game itself. But a game being free doesn't excuse poor behaviour. I didn't give the maker of Notte Luminosa slack for faking cancer, and his game was free too.
2. The terrible behaviour of idiots on the internet doesn't excuse actual problems. Just because someone bullies or mistreats you doesn't make you right or excuse your behaviour. Of course, don't tell the social justice idiots that. Those people seem to think of anyone of any minority view or status as completely above criticism.
And who she sleeps with doesn't directly matter... or wouldn't, if the people in question weren't gaming journalists and game developers giving her attention and popularity in the media simply based on that, or for that matter, trying to enforce her view doesn't get criticised on gaming forums. Fact is, it doesn't matter she's female. It doesn't matter what game she made. The corruption and use of the industry as a force to crack down on people she doesn't like does matter, and it'd still matter if ir was say, Shigeru Miyamoto sleeping with gaming journalists for popularity and coverage.

I heard different I'm not going to say any names the people who are involved, but its funny that when other industry someone who does this kind of thing gets fired or in trouble....
Sounds like he's whining about the gaming press calling out gamers on their infantile tantrums. And yes, many gamers were acting like entitled little brats about Mass Effect 3.

The problem is not that she slept with 5 men. The problem is that she slept with 5 men who happened to be part of the game journalism sphere in exchange for positive coverage. That's flat-out corruption from both parties, especially if they are trying to cover this up.

Maybe they didn't know the second EA buys something then the quality goes down - slowly at first then faster until it is worthless.
(From a starting point of head and shoulders above the rest).

I don't doubt it is true but it is not as bad as the corporate policy of flat out corruption used by such as Ubisoft.

So can you give us the name of these 5 persons? No? How do you know that they all work in gaming journalism? And how do you know she slept with them for better reviews? Or are you just spewing things without knowing?
All you have to go on is what her Ex is saying. And we all know that Exes are the best source for unbiased reporting. Especially the ones that has gotten hurt.
In the end, does this all really matter? It gives those involved the attention they want; and that's all there is to it. Whoever was threatened with rape or whatever should report this to the police; FBI, or something along the lines of that; they shouldn't be complaining about it on the interwebz.

Pretty much this. I've let this topic go for a few days to see if any good came from it, but it seems to all be a bunch of he-said-she-said gossipy bologna. The forums aren't a tabloid, guys. Find something else to discuss, please.
