My wish list from Nintendo below:

  • A GOOD Star Fox game (Zero for the WiiU doesn't count)
  • F-Zero
  • A Metroid game
  • Punch Out with PvP (ARMS doesn't count)
  • A NEW Mario Kart (Mario Kart 8 doesn't count)
  • Mario Golf/Tennis

Some good opportunities for LAN play there, which is perfect for Switch.

Not going to happen, but my only answer is Pilotwings. I'd particularly like if they folded it into their other ailing "extreme sports" series like Wave Race or 1080, and have an open-world type deal.

(Although Mario Golf would be fun too)

KirbyTheVampire

Animal Crossing, Monster Hunter, and a Paper Mario game in the vein of The Thousand Year Door. If they continue making them like Sticker Star and Color Splash, I'll be very disappointed.

Bolt_Strike

Metroid Prime 4, an 8th gen Pokemon game that's actually good (i.e. not a casual pandering linearfest), DP remakes, a 3D platformer/beat em up DK game, that thief game Aonuma pitched, and a sandbox platformer/shooter Duck Hunt game.

@World Thanks, I've been begging for that too. Would make such a great game !

I'd also love Nintendo to make a realistic "stealthy" FPS, in the vein of what Goldeneye was.

I wish some more indie games from steam would show up on the switch. Like Don't Starve/Together, Starbound. The Sims open world. New Animal Crossing. Fantasy life would be nice. Can't wait for Stardew Valley. And Mincraft with mods somehow.

I'm really itching for a new Kirby and Metroid game.
A Tales of game would be great to have soon.
I would love for Snowboard Kids or a traditional Bubble Bobble get revived.
EDIT:Also a good TMNT would be great.

Aside from hoping that "AAA" 3rd parties step up this gen...I do hope that we get a steady stream of fighting games. FG is my bread and butter so the more time I can spend rocking combos the better. Nintendo usually does fine by me (I am not a metroid fan, don't care about fzero, hated mother series but I have all the VC in Japanese, I LIKE SF:Z) but I would pay so much money for the extreme sports genre to come back to Nintendo consoles. 1080 and wave race...even as a eshop game would pretty much make my decade.

Pilot Wings + Wii Sports + Wave race = win!

Prince of Persia must be due a new game?

I want Nintendo to use their 3D engines to make an action-adventure/platformer Kirby game, featuring both 3D and 2D segments, plus some racing, and just go absolutely nuts on the visual splendour side of it. If it could feature a crossover with Yoshi too then that would be even better.

I'd like to see more 3D platformers this generation. It seems that all we got last generation were 2D side-scrollers, and quite frankly, I'm sick of it. There was a boom of 3D platformers during the N64 and GameCube eras and this past gen... practically nothing.

If Nintendo wants to succeed I believe that they need to build on series that people already love. If they made

  • Star Fox Assault 2
  • F-Zero Switch
  • Metroid Prime Switch
  • Pokemon Stars
  • Super Smash Bros Switch
  • Mario Kart 9
  • Mario Party 11
  • Animal Crossing
  • Switch Sports
  • Mario Sluggers, Strikers, Golf, Tennis, and Hoops
  • New Paper Mario, Kirby, Yoshi, and DK games as well

I would also like to see Nintendo make a push to bring popular Japanese Games like Fire Emblem and Mother to become more of a recognizable game in America

Really looking forward to a new Animal Crossing. New Leaf has been stale for a while now even after the Amiibo update.
New Pikmin hopefully.
Mario Kart 9 down the road (though I hope they drop the number titles and just call it Mario Kart Switch)
A Star Fox game that's a sequel to Assault, or hell even an HD remake of Assault would be cool too. Maybe they could redo the on foot sections and make them play better.

I kinda had a cool idea the other day, the HD remasters of Windwaker and Twilight Princess were really great and it would be neat if they made a Zelda HD Collection for the Switch. 60 bucks and you get those two HD remasters and a Skyward Sword remaster. The Joycons rely on the accelerometers inside like the Wii Motion Plus so it wouldn't be too difficult. Though you wouldn't be able to play it portably which would make the inclusion of Skyward Sword redundant for the Switch. I would just love to take all my favorite Zelda games on the go all in one console (as well as VC with Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and etc).

I don't want any of these because Mario Kart 8, Arms and Fast RMX/Redout cover those games well enough. A PvP Punchout is almost by definition not Punchout, it'd be something more like Arms. Mario Kart 8 is enough Mario Kart for me. Who needs F-Zero when indies are covering that ground well enough.

Anyways, what I'd like to see is for the Switch to cover some more genres. There isn't anything on there yet along the lines of Wii Sports so I'd like to see a "Switch Sports" game. Animal Crossing is another fairly obvious one and the same is true for Pokemon. And as much as everyone keeps banging on about Metroid I'd rather see another Kid Icarus personally. Yes the console needs something that's more "Mature" but given how bright the screen is? I like the idea of having colourful games on it. Maybe that's just me.

Lastly, indie games and third parties. I'm less interested in third party releases than I am in indie games. But plenty of both would go a long way to filling out the library. In particular I'd like to see something along the lines of Need for Speed on the Switch. Just a well polished, arcade style racing game with decent visuals. It'd be really nice to be able to play a game like that on a portable system.

So the monster-sized three-games-in-one Fire Emblem Fates, Fire Emblem Heroes, Fire Emblem Warriors (on both Switch and New 3DS), Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Fire Emblem Switch, the inclusion of no less than eight Fire Emblem characters in Smash 4 (counting the opposite sex variations of Corrin and Robin as separate characters), cameos in Project X Zone 2 and 8 amiibo figures aren't enough of a "push"?

For a franchise whose fate rested on the success of Awakening (I did something there, and it wasn't intentional!), I'd say that Fire Emblem is doing pretty damn well for itself these days.

I'd love to see some horror on the switch. something like the original resident evil trilogy upgraded to HD visuals!
This is a random one but there was this awesome game on Playstation 2 called Gregorys Horror Show, its an acquired taste but someone please bring this back out!!

It's probably not going to happen but I am hoping for a Golden Sun. 3DS or Switch I just want Camelot doing their best work and that always was Golden Sun.
