I hope they make tweaks to leveling and gearing. Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate had a dedicated XP currency, and more flexible weapon skill transferring. Hyrule Warriors was fun, but I often felt like I hit a wall in progression because leveling got a lot slower fairly early on, and you needed to use rupees for everything. And too many materials, too many levels to remember where X character was featured so you could farm them.

If you had the Master Quest map, it had a mission where you can level up really fast.

@TheLZdragon

Can't remember if it was easy to unlock. And I was still slogging through the first map. Plus level and weapon tier concerns, etc.

@DarthNocturnal same here, I was rather overwhelmed with everything in Hyrule Warriors and I don't think I've finished any of the maps yet...

to be fair, finishing a map of Hyrule Warriors takes about the same amount of time it does to 100% Xenoblade Chronicles

I'd have to bet the amount of people who have finished any map in Hyrule Warriors (let alone a majority or all of them), is really small.

I remember being shocked at the level cap increases. It seemed to slow at 40, so hitting, what, 250 or so? Just seemed sadistic.

Legends apparently scaled things down, as I heard that while it takes slightly longer to level up, each level is worth more, and at 99, you were akin to a maxed out Wii U character.

Then they released even more DLC and started all over again...kudos for the loads of content, but I'd like to actually SEE it someday.

You know, Hyrule Warriors was a fantastic co-op game. Or would've been if it had online. But with their new online service I'm thinking they're going to include online in pretty much any game that has multiplayer.

And as much as I liked HW, it took a really big hit on the gamepad. Did not look that good at all. This game will look super crisp and clean when playing on the portable screen and we should most definitely get online play which means we can all play with each other!

I wonder if Fire Emblem Warriors will release in the holiday or not.

Pretty sure it will.
If I'm not mistaken, they announced Hyrule Warriors at E3 and released it in, I wanna say november, of the same year. And I think a Fire Emblem Warriors would be even closer to the regular Warriors formula than HW with those additions from the Zelda series so it may take even less time to make I gues? They have all of the basics down pat and don't have to build these crossovers from scratch so it likely doesn't take that long develop them. I mean..just look at how many of the games release in the same year sometimes. They're making a ton of them and they make them pretty quickly it seems.

And we don't know how long they've worked on the game either. I'm not sure who ported Legends to the 3DS but I know that most of the people who worked on Hyrule Warriors Wii U moved on to the next projects after that was done and that only a fraction of that team handled the DLC so it's possible that a bigger part of the development team for this new game has been busy with it for ~2 years.

I did all of it (on Wii U) and I think I was at around 300h by the time I was done..? I didn't even come close to getting everyone to LV 255 tho. That got incredibly tedious when half of the characters were still "only" in the 150s lol

@Tsurii haha, I didn't put quite as much time into it... Maybe Splatoon took up some of that though.

Hyrule Warriors was first announced in December of 2013 and released in August/September 2014 so it wasn't that much longer after the first trailer. Although it showed a lot more than the FE one (but at the same time, they could just be waiting for the Fire Emblem Direct so we shall see)

@yokokazuo oh, I completely forgot about that reveal trailer lol
But yeah. It doesn't seem like it'll much longer between reveal and release for FEW either then. Looked it up and apparently HW even got announced/revealed on an 18th and in a direct too. Coincidence??? ...probably

It's going to be interesting to see what they're showing tonight tho. HW looked pretty rough in its reveal but you could tell that a lot had happened with it by the time E3 rolled around so if FEW looks similar to either of those builds it's probably gonna be a lot easier to say when we can expect it. That is if they don't outright announce a release window.

They've already announced a release window of Holidays 2017.

Well i can't wait as we got a little less then 10 hours to go. Just hope it won't be like the pokemon direct we got last year as it was a bit of a disappointment in my opinion.

My 12 year old daughter is a FE fan girl and when she found out about it she told me she NEEDS it.

Who am I to refuse?

Switch games list,

Legend of Zelda BotW, Human resource machine, NBA Playgrounds, Street Fighter 2, Super Bomberman R, Snipperclips, Overcooked, World of Goo.

I have this very faint hope they do some sort of collection as they try and turn this into a bigger franchise. I'm one of the many that only got into FE with Awakening, and now Path of Radiance is prohibitively expensive. Will take a Switch HD port or VC rom dump, just want to play it!

Except online is now only for those who can/ are willing to pay. So I don't expect “all“ of us can play together.

I'd prefer not to, and I actually didn't play many games online on Wii U or 3DS (Monster Hunter on 3DS, mostly). That isn't to say I won't, but revealing an online service with features that were copied (and then swiftly downgraded) from the competition and then having huge gaps in the specific details.... they aren't exactly inspiring my confidence. Or anyone elses.

@Tsurii Well, apparently Nintendo's youtube says Holiday 2017.

@DarthNocturnal If online costs notably less than PSN or XBL, then you can't exactly run comparisons.

“If“ is the key word. In the meantime, I can only go by what (little) they've said.

I am expecting them to screw up with us Canadians though. Despite the weak dollar, a year of XBL Gold is still $60. But I doubt Nintendo will be as nice. Even if it is cheaper in the US, it may be the same (or more) as XBL in Canada.

The more games available online, the more value the subscription has. Splatoon alone is worth it since I'm approaching 500 hours on the Wii U one

Funny how PC has highest “value“ then, but the lowest cost.
