Topic: Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle

It really is a great collection. Ended up getting the ps4 version for the trophies but we are having a blast with it. Really happy with all these collections essentially replacing the virtual console. Hope it continues for the later gens as well.

@Yorumi apparently, it play fine single and local multiplayer. However, online is hit or miss. Setting the input delay from 2 to 5+ seems to help alleviate some of the lag and latency.

Still, be nice if Capcom could fix this. Online is the one of the many selling points of the game.

It's mostly miss. Seeeerrrrious lag - unplayable.

It's still early days but they do need to sort it out.

I just played Final Fight 2 days ago online, and it played as if we were both standing at the same arcade machine. I joined a game that had already started, and we did the last two stages together. Since I joined, I don't know what kind of settings they had pre-set, but it played really smooth. I'm in the US, no idea where the other player was from.

And of course, it was my first and only game online so I don't have much data to go off of, just thought I would add my experience to the discussion.

Considering they are side scrolling brawlers, I'd imagine there's a lot of hitting and missing, online or not.

Does anyone know if online is cross play with the Xbox One? I have a few friends that have this on the Xbox One that I want to play this with but I also want the portability of the Switch. I already bought it on the PS4 so I really only want to double dip on it rather then triple dip.

@Tasuki heha, your joking right? Sony refuses cross play. As for Xbox, I believe they skipped this one.

@Shade_Koopa No I am not joking. My main console this gen is PS4 but I do own Xbox One and a Switch for their exclusives. The only reason I want to get it on the Switch is so I can play it on the go but then I have a few friends who own Xbox that play online, but as I said I am not going to buy it 3 times.

@Tasuki well, as we all know, Sony hate cross play so that won't happen. Microsoft maybe but slim. Look like you'll be buying it three times. 4 of you count the PC release later this year.

Captain Commando is superb! Never played it before. I think that's my favourite in the collection after Final Fight. Although I haven't really played much of the other titles except for Knights of the Round.

@Tasuki I don't think crossplay with Xbox or Steam is in there. I've only played online once or twice and it was a laggy mess, just like Street Fighter 30th. My location isn't ideal for online play so that plays a part but I've read folk in the UK and States saying the same.

@OorWullie Hmm that's a shame that it's laggy, hopefully they fix that with a patch.

@Tasuki I think it's more to do with how the matchmaking works. It doesn't seem to be regional based and matches you with anyone regardless of where you are in the world.

@Tasuki Never mentioned that one console was one way or the other. I didn't think I was dealing with a precious snowflake who can't seem to handle a simple answer.

This game has no cross platform with it's servers. Maybe later down the road with Xbox/Switch server, but the chance is slim. The current online for this game being hit or miss doesn't help either. Sucks, but unless your the lucky ones with good internet, what can ya do?

I picked this up but hadn't gotten around to playing it til today at work. Ended up liking it enough I put in an order for the physical version on Amazon Japan.

That's why I dont buy games on PS4 anymore (barring exclusives, obviously). No portability, no crossplay, never the best visually/performance wise. Every other console offers an advantage. Either hybrid or best running version on X1X.

I try to buy games once and kill 2 birds with one stone though. Even my double dipping on the X1 is now very limited to games with extreme downgrades like DOOM/Wolf 2. If Im paying for a console version, why not get the one that's also portable. No reason not to. Did enough double dipping over the years with PS4/Vita and Wii U/3DS, and still had to deal with separate save files. Switch versions of games have saved me so much money, and time. Playing at work as we speak in fact, although admittedly most time has been spent in Monster Hunter Gen Ult. Trying to play some other games that have been piling up. Excitebike and Sonic 1 and Thunderforce IV, and this bundle.

Sadly and I know you won't admit it, but its people like you is what turned the website into a such a toxic site. You think it's cool to sit here and insult people because OMG they play on a PS4 or an Xbox or Playstation whatever. So I can't cross play on PS4 big whoodie doo. Let's see who has sold more consoles, more exclusives has third party support, and doesnt rely on cheap gimmicks to carry them through?

So should I call you a precious snowflake and maybe it sucks to be you cause you don't have any of that. Of course you wouldn't have to result to insults if you felt confindent in your choice of console. Just something to think there
