@ReaderRagfish I'm absolutely with you on the sf 30th anniversary collection. Having both the arcade and home console versions would have been great, especially for the extra characters added in sf alpha 3
I love beat-em-ups. So you know will happen Tuesday? I will pay $20 for the collection and enjoy it.
Its sad that the D&D, AVP and Punisher games aren't getting in, but they're probably stuck in licencing hell(is there a huge franchise that Disney doesn't own now?)
I was watching this on GameXplain earlier today (though they played the PS4 version) and one thing that bugged me was that when you launched a game, it seemed like it skipped the title screen and went straight into the game. Maybe I missed something, but to me that is a big no no. It's only a small nitpick but it's still important to me to have everything.
Edit: Looking at it again I think it maybe the way the video was edited. It's really annoying though.
@FragRed yeah I watched gamexplain's let's play as well. I'm sure the intro vids/title screens still appear, just seemed like Ash (I think) was just skipping a lot to get thru all the games as quick as possible.
@redd214 I was playing online and it's similar to the Street Fighter Collection where it's so laggy it's unplayable if the other player isn't close to you geographically. It also gets really laggy if more than 2 players are in the game. I haven't tried single player yet but I'm sure it plays just like the arcades in single player and in coach co-op.

@Oat
It's a beat em up collection it's not being billed as an arcade beat em up collection. I don't understand people's infatuation with arcade games (one ripped me off as a kid so I'm not partial to them).
Then that's the operator's(meaning person running the arcade) fault, not the game.
Final Fight is so good and is as fun to play today as it was then. Still looks fantastic too, those huge sprites have held up really well. I had it on the Mega CD and the graphics blew me away then. The SNES port while good for what it was, was a fair bit below the Mega CD and arcade versions.. If you wanted to impress yer mates, you showed them Final Fight CD. Back in the day, I always thought it was better than Street of Rage 2 and now after playing it again 25 years later, my mind hasn't changed.
I guarantee, if Capcom would be ok with upping the violence level significantly, a SF/MK crossover (the most demanded crossover) would sell so much, the profits would be ridiculous, the only reason MK/DC sucked heiney end is because DC demanded the violence and gore of MK be totally dumbed down, but bring SF up then true fans of BOTH games can decide which characters from which games are the true masters

This collection is really pretty cool. I'm not a particular fan of any of these individual games, but the collection of what was probably my most frequently played arcade genre back in the day for the price of an average indie is too good to pass up. Ordinarly I don't swoon for retro collections since I have so many deep modern games to play but somehow this one grabbed me in the Direct, and having now bought it it's not letting me down. Yes, they're all samey with pretty much identical control schemes for every game, but most of them definitely have a unique feel. It's a really good arcade port. Great, 7 more games to add to my backlog. Poor NES app....
Some of these games were among my favorite arcade titles of all time. Include X-Men and I'd be all set. Actually, I kind of want the bundle anyway because these were some of my fav titles.
