Can we talk about the recently announced Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle!?
That has me so excited, especially since I'll finally be able to play Battle Circuit which is the last arcade beat em up that Capcom ever made. It only ever got released in PAL and Japan so I'm so happy to be able to play this in the US.
That game has some very interesting systems to it.
It's funny because I was literally wondering last night "Wouldn't it be so awesome if Capcom released a beat em up bundle on modern systems. They could have games like Final Fight and maybe Magical Sword and possible release some of the more obscure beat em ups like Battle Circuit and Captain Commando"
Same here. I use to play most of those titles anytime I could get out to the mall and had money to plunk into the cabinets. I was always drawn more to such arcade games then I was to fighting games.
@FaeKnight I'm with you. Final fight is the reason that I love beat em ups. I found out about Battle Circuit earlier this year and was shocked that I had never heard of it sooner. Glad it's finally coming state side after missing the us for more than 2 decades.
Hopefully Capcom will re-release the Mystara beat em up games as well
This will most certainly be a day one purchase for me.

I'll not be buying it. Like capcoms other releases on switch thus far with the exception possibly bring MonHunter (for whatever reason) have been either missing features or not been physical releases. Both megaman collections were split into half physical releases, street fighter anniversary while full retail was missing 2 games (alpha 3 upper and alpha 2 gold) for s game that's supposed to be the ultimate street fighter collection it's sorely lacking, and now this being a digital only and not having a full collection (where's the other 2 final fights?).
@GameOtaku It seems to be based off of the arcade roms of these games. Final Fight 2 and 3 were actually games designed for the Super Nintendo and never actually released in arcades
@Oat
It's a beat em up collection it's not being billed as an arcade beat em up collection. I don't understand people's infatuation with arcade games (one ripped me off as a kid so I'm not partial to them).
But I understand, the license was probably impossible to get from Disney.
Switch Physical Collection - 1,241 games (as of March 23rd, 2024)

Childhood memories, the fact they might have been brutally hard money guzzlers but they were also generally really good games... Arcade games that are fondly remembered are the good ones. The bad games never really made an impression, and would get replaced with good games.
@GameOtaku I can only tell you about my personal history with arcade games. As a kid getting to go to the pizza parlor was awesome because there were these dope arcade games that were very unique. Even though arcades had started to fall out of popularity by the early 2000s it was really awesome to go to these parlor and see these stunning arcade games that played like almost nothing else you could get on console. This is especially the case with beat em ups as after the 90s the genre more or less died entirely.
Arcade games would have these attract screens in which they would show off the gameplay and entice you to play them. They had these distinct colors, sounds, and play that just was the coolest thing ever as a kid. Going through a short but fun romp through a crime filled city where you're busting up bad guys left and right on the big screen was an experience like no other.
In addition a lot of people grew up in arcades and a lot of the big name characters had their roots in arcades.
@Oat
I was ripped off by Marvel Vs Capcom put the money in and nothing. Simpsons arcade was fun and so was turtles in time I remember playing them at a skating rink on a school trip.
I figure they'll nickel and dime us the rest of the collection as dlc for $10 a piece.
@GameOtaku The only people I play coop games with are 2 family members who live hundreds of miles away. The only option for us to play together is online. Couch coop is great, but it's not possible for most of us. Online multiplayer is essential for multiplayer games, otherwise I usually don't buy them.
@GameOtaku “Relive the glory days of competitive arcade games with the Capcom Beat’Em Up Bundle!”
Why does it need to say only, does the MMLC need to say that it “only has Mega Man games”?
@Mrtoad
And just how many games on the eshop that never got a arcade release also say the same thing "relive the glory days of the arcade in this game"!?
