Would you guys recommend getting the lampent lamp or exeggutor plant?

I have enough for one, but I'm not sure if the bonuses are worth it.

What does Exeggutor do again? I got Lampent, because coins. lol

Anyway I think I'll save for slowpoke instead. I was considering snorlax because of the event, but I realized slowpoke was the perfect companion for charizard. They have the same refresh rate, and well, if charizard's is the only skill I've used at that point, then slowpoke will always target it. i think...

So double charizard.

I like having Slowpoke now to get more Rowlett uses. Charizard mostly gives Training Sodas, LP Restores, or a small amount of coins (a little more than a maxed Meowth). I used to use Slowpoke as a double-zard, but he rarely gives me something (ie that big ole' mountain of coins) that I actually want so I just use him for Rowlett now.

I think the coin bonus from league battles has the best return as level up coin bonuses are pretty minimal until you get close to your max level, while league battle rewards are scaled higher. I'm max level, and going through Expert league 3 gets me roughly 100k (a little over 6k gold each over 15 matches) where as leveling up to 89 probably only gets about 75k. Of course, if you are at a point where you just started a new league/in a 10 match league, you'll initially get more coins from leveling up.

Charizard has given me multiple mountains of coins and skill restores, so I'm rather happy with it.

Training sodas are nice... League tries are nearly useless... But at least they serve as retries to activate the macho karp or other events... And for the item use count.

So far I've been given one mountain ever and I've probably only been given about 7-8 skill restores, so I find Charizard to be a bit underwhelming most of the time.

I'm currently trying to get the maximum levels on all the food since I have reached the current maximum level. I have Rowlett and Meowth at their maximum levels as well, along with owning all support Pokémon except Eevee and Gengar. The Magikarp I currently have is a shiny one with the 150% to coins trait.

I'm wondering if it's better to just keep that Magikarp and use its trait to farm as much coins as I can out of Rowlett along with using Slowpoke when it's able to use its ability. Or should I continue to cycle through many more Magikarp, as I'm at the point where I can complete the experience bar multiple times in a single session, and get my coins that way?

well, if you are at max level then you might as well just grind that karp for coins for a bit.

It's taking forever to rake up diamonds, and the game is STILL working against me with the karps. lol

I've not been playing so much of this now that I'm at max level. It's still something that I'll play if I have a spare few minutes, but for now I'm just waiting for the next update.

Eh, it's not a game you normally spend hours on at once anyways. I usually go one it once or twice a day, and I think my time on it is usually....15-ish minutes? I dunno.

Thanks for the suggestions. Guess I'll be sticking with this Magikarp for a while until the next big update arrives.

The main reason why I continued to cycle through Magikarps was because I also wanted to gather diamonds as well as coins. Thinking about it now, it seems better to just focus in one at a time, especially since getting diamonds to get support Pokémon and decorations takes a lot longer than getting a lot of coins to max out all the food.

FINALLY, I get a stupid Karp with a coin bonus. Now if only it would give me that last pattern, lol

I'm surprised you haven't got all the patterns yet. I always assumed that the game gave you a higher chance for finding unknown patterns, since it never took me too long to obtain new patterns once they were available. Maybe I'm completely wrong, and I just got lucky with them.

Finding the rest were super easy, but this last one it just...won't give it to me...

@crimsontadpoles Nope, I am now at 181 generations, and since the last 30-ish generations I am still in need of one Apricot pattern, which is not even a very rare one...

Considering that the Elite 4 should be up next, it appears that this is the last update. New league as well the usual new training stuff and food, etc.

Aw and I was just about halfway done with the last league.
