Topic: My Metroid Prime Trilogy Wont Work!

Augh! My recently purchased copy of metroid prime trilogy wont work!!!!
I put it in the wii, but when i check the disc channel, it says it cant read the disk, and tells me to check the wii options manual for troubleshooting something or other!
Does anyone know what is going on???? Is my wii not good enough, or is the game broken, or what?

Erm... what lens? The game or the wii? because all my other games work... except this... and i blew on it a ton...

How old is your wii?
If i remember correctly werent older Wii's having troubles when SSB came out since its duel layer?
I belive when those problems occured Nintendo offered to fix the problem to make it work

Hmmm, my wii is as old as they come.... got it some time around launch. but ssbb works fine... so i dunno...

Did you consult the Wii trouble shooting manual?

When was the last time you played SSBB who knows it might not work anymore either

Boy are you in for some crap. I just went through this same problem a few months ago. My Wii wouldn't read brawl or Prime trilogy. I got a disc cleaner and it corrected the problem for a couple days but then it came right back. It got so bad that I had no other choice but to send my wii in for repairs. When I got it back the fan wasn't working. Had to send it right back and now I'm getting graphic artifacting. I'm now preparing to send it away for the third time. I hope you have a high tolerance for BS cause you're in for some. Good luck you'll need it.

doesnt the fan only turn on when the wii actually starts overheating?

@link79 whew, thats a relief actually, i thought i was going to have to get a new wii or something. Thats good news!
Ill try to get the disk cleaner and see if that helps too. If that doesnt work, nintendo is gonna have some angry voicemail...

Yeah they can fix the disc reading problem. As long as it doesn't have any other issues you should be fine. The waiting is the worst part. They should have your wii fixed and returned to you in a couple weeks at least.

They had mine sent back in just over one week. Pretty fast actually.

Well, I cant speak too soon, link79 said the lens cleaner only worked for a few days, but ill keep my fingers crossed!
And if i ever do have to send it in, no biggy, i can deal with it.

If the lens cleaner doesnt work (which it doesnt very much) then your wiis lazer is shagged which means it cant play duel layer disks.
