Good to know that this type of unrealistic proposals aren't anything new.

The chances of this happening are slim to none, even though a state HAS split before [Virginia and West Virginia]. Also, secession is never going to happen, the Civil War is proof of that.

I remember reading an article in a newspaper about how Albania wanted to join the U.S. in the '90s or something like that. Wierd.

I know a part of Minnesota wanted to join Canada.

This is totally unrealistic. It's kind of the complete opposite of the debate here in the Netherlands, where some leading politicians are pretty serious about fusing whole provinces together.

You can't annex something you own. The definition used here is to take or appropriate, especially without permission.
