Hmm...my "gaming religion..." I believe in the almighty power of three little letters. These letters, when properly inserted into a game, make it a billion times better than it would otherwise have been. The letters are: R...P...G! Even series that are awesome when they AREN'T RPG's get even cooler with RPG entries! See, for example, SMRPG, Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi. For hybrids, consider Super Paper Mario, Ratchet & Clank, even God of War! One day, the all-powerful RPG will RULE THE WORLD! Bwahahabwahahabwahahahaaaaa!
Why I just had to stop in and let you know of a wonderful commune that I belong to. It is our belief that corporations are destroying human spirit so we believe that all should be free. We spend our days frolicking in the sun and amassing an archive of freeware games. Sometimes one of our members will leave us to spread our message of love to the world. Why only recently two of our beloved brethren left and let the world know of our commune by spreading their own version of our gospel which they called "World of Goo". Won't you join us brothers and sisters?
It's truly amazing to see the breadth of belief systems our members share and how we still manage to get along so fantastically. Truly, this is a video game paradise. The world wishes it had the same harmony our little corner of the internet has.

You are quite correct. It is not the price that people should focus on but the fact that 2 people created by themselves a game to rival some of the most expensive games with the biggest production teams out there. It serves a path of knowledge leading people to the thought that they do not need to be shackled to release dates and corporations. All of us have the ability to create something brilliant with our own two hands. So everyone next time you are complaing that a game has been cancelled or been delayed, remember, you have the power to create your own.
@FATEM: That's the gospel of INDIE development, not freeware. And you have to realize, not all indie games rock. Just look at Bit Boy (no offense to those who actually like it).
