Got made redundant 3 weeks ago, was working for an engineering firm that makes practice bombs and parts for glass machines. Was already sat on some money, now I'm sat on some more. I am now in ultra-relax mode, while I consider my options and figure what or where I aim to be next. Have been enjoying the sun, time with my neices, bit o bird spotting (with neices as bait) going for lots of bike rides, and playing lots and lots of games!
Gimme a couple more weeks and I'll get back to reality, but for now, I'm loving it!
I club baby seals. Oh, don't judge me, I've got a family to feed. The funny part is, I used to do it for the money. Now I just flat out enjoy doing it in general.

As tempted as I am to say "your mum", I wouldn't want to offend anyone, so I'll just say that I write and look at games for a games website Oh, and I deliver papers every morning, since it's the only reason I have to wake up early every day

I'm a postie! Worked for Royal Mail for 5 years now. When your game doesn't come on time from Play.com, it's me ye blame!

Does that pay well?
It pays enough, as long as I'm still in education, I don't need excellent pay, and it beats working in a supermarket or whatever IMO since I get to stay at home all day
Canadian/Brazilian working as an English teacher in Brazil for now. The good: pays really well. The bad: games cost up to and including R$329.00 (It's basically US$1 = R$2, so it's a huge price hike for games)

@Adam Ya I know, I'm just saying the exchange rate is 1 to 2. I'm dying to get Afro Samurai for Xbox360, but its R$299, the cheapest game I got was Chrome Hounds for R$50 (for obvious reasons. Thanks God i have a Live accnt.)

Man, I can't wait to go back to canada for Christmas again and spend some hard-earned cash, I'll gladly pay $50 for a game again. Next time you think about complaining about a game price, think about my situation. GH WT complete set (drums and all) costs around R$1500.

Is it not cheaper to import games from the US or does region coding prevent this?
I work on a golf coarse driveing the ball picker on the driveing range and yes I do get hit... ALOT (thoes people are aiming at me!) I'm 20 and hope to someday write and illustrate a grapic novel.
Brazil has a really high tax rate, so usually importing games (legally) costs pretty much the same as buying them. At least that's what I understood when I looked up some info about it. EDIT: We are NTSC as well, all of the Ameriscas are the same region for games. Only DVD's are coded different (we are region 4, North America is region 1)
Dude, you're in Brasil! How can you complain? I've been to São Paulo and Rio and bunch of times and had a tough time finding something to complain about. There was lots to smile about and gawk at though... I'd leave the games 'til I got home.
Game price is the only thing to complain about. Other than that it's a sweet place to live, the "scenery" is amazing. I live in Curitiba, it's south of SP.
