I'd say more like 99%... I could count on my fingers the amount of good licensed games that I know of...
yeah, but they will keep existing until they stop selling!

Ice Climbers. We've gotten way too many games in that series.
One game was one too many.
But seriously, Pokemon forever!
I foresee what you'll do there.

Mario and Sonic at the [sporting event]. They're just so bland and dull, and they make me desperately wish for a platformer starring the characters instead.
Mario vs/and Donkey Kong (the puzzle games). Does that Nintendo of America based dev team make ANYTHING ELSE?
Cel shaded Zelda (puts up flame shield). We've got three main games, and at least two handheld games using elements of the art style and similar character designs. Time to give it a rest for a few years. Which they're thankfully doing, and have been doing from Skyward Sword onwards.
Licensed games obviously, but they're not really a franchise. Just a bad idea that should probably stop existing for the most part.
A Mario game hack series called 'Super SIG World'. Not really a franchise, but the author really, really milks this idea non stop (to the point he's recently finished the TWENTY NINTH installment). It's the very poster child for 'too many sequels', to the point it probably outnumbers things like 'Street Fighter 2 rereleases done by Capcom' and 'Mario Party games' in quantity.
Call of Duty, but that's obvious. This is a personal one that I'll likely get a lot of hate for, but Grand Theft Auto. I for one am not interested in playing as a criminal in what is meant to be the modern world and shoot virtual grandmas and virtual police officers. That being said, the reason I really would like it to die isn't because of my personal preferences but rather because it actually sheds a very dark light on the gaming industry for non gamers. It's been used as an excuse for tons of shootings and whatnot (a poor excuse, of course) and I have to hear about how video games "sensationalize violence" and "twist children into psychopaths" and "brainwash you into wanting to kill John Lennon" and "cause people who play them to worship Satan" - you know, the basic result of ignorance. The worst part is, I'm just sitting there playing Mario Kart when one of my parents says, "You play too many video games, I read an article that says that video games encourage patricide and matricide, blah blah blah" all thanks to games that I'm not interested in playing that make people think that all games are inherently evil. And to be fair, if I didn't know much about video games and saw some kid playing GTA and shooting virtual old ladies in the face, I'd think that was pretty messed up. So I see where they're coming from, despite disagreeing, and wish that games like GTA didn't flaunt in their violence and disturbing nature.
@Captain_Balko: I've played those kind of games, and I've never felt compelled to hurt people in real life... in fact, I've found quite the opposite to be true: it's a great way to get rid of pent up anger, not create new anger. That's what more recent studies have been showing, too. I've never played GTA, but I have played its distant, over-the-top cousin Saints Row.

Iphone games.... made by the top tier video game developers. like square and capcom. Example: The world ends with you. There was a countdown clock to that game in a web site. .....it was a iphone port to a ds game with minor improvements...
Breath of fire 5 iphone game. People think they can make a quick buck here because of the name but it's actually a cancer.
Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.

I've heard about this and completely agree, however, the media will never see it our way, because they represent the general populace and the general populace is ignorant to the statistics that violent games lead to the release of pent up anger, and would rather blame video games. I just think that GTA kind of invigorates this broken way of thinking.
To be fair though, once I played Call of Duty with my friend, and halfway through the match I became literally angry with my friend because he kept killing me. When I'd get a rare kill, I'd gloat like a lunatic and insult him, I'd swear whenever he got me, and I was getting really worked up for no reason. Something about the realistic violence and scenario (you're a soldier with a gun, shoot your friend in the face) was causing me to think negatively, be a negative competitor and both a sore loser and a sore winner. My friend looked at me and said, "Maybe it's better that you play mostly Nintendo games". I have to agree with him. I never get angry like that when playing a fighting game or racing game or platformer, I didn't like the person that the game made me become. Sure, I'm pretty competitive and I engage in trash talk with my friends while playing competitive games, but it was never malicious, and I was never ACTUALLY angry.
One more thing I'd like to point out - I remember my cousin had a GTA game on his PSP. I was 15, I think, and like most boys my age, I liked a bit of violence (still do - just more in television and movies than in games, and in games I much prefer stylized violence to realistic violence). I remember sitting on a plane with him while we were on vacation, and the trip was seven or eight hours. I got pretty into the game during one of his rampages, but later realized how psychotic we would have sounded had someone on the plane been listening to our conversation. They would have heard, "Kill the hooker with the chainsaw", and "Fire a missile at the police car, then shoot any survivors", or "Snipe that granny in the head, make her head explode". Out of context, you'd assume we were psychopathic murderers. And also, to be fair, people always say that movies also sensationalize violent acts, and this is true. However, nobody would pay to watch a movie with no plot about a guy who goes on a rampage just because, and brutally kills about two hundred people until the police finally shoot him down. Once again, I don't agree with the people who are against violent video games, but I do see their point and why they would believe that violent games are harmful.
