Pac Man: Championship Edition was awesome, now let the character die down and stop reviving him Namco.
Frogger Same reason as Pac Man, only Frogger hasn't had anything good for the past decade, unless you count games that strongly rely on what it did 30 years ago.
Double Dragon: It's clear, Double Dragon was a thing of the 80s/90s and not even Wayforward can make a game on par with the original titles.
Skylanders: I liked Spyro's Adventure, but with this toy overload, and yearly releases, I feel Skylanders will one day be too much to handle and have the same fate as Guitar Hero. So kill it now.
It's so depressing that people are even mentioning Pokémon. But as for the question, I can't think of any. There are franchises that need a breather, but I can't think of any that need to go away forever.

just because you don't like a franchise it doesn't mean it must die! be like those two guys they've the reason this time!!!! or at least pretend the franchise you dislike doesn't exist. if you don't like and isn't vital you can always ignore!

-Any CoD rip off. There should only be one or two FPS franchises, not 20 something.
-Sports. Just play it in REAL life.
-Licensed games. 80% suck.
-Rabbids. We have Rayman. We could make them side characters.
-Spinoff Pokémon games. Most suck, Pokémon Rumble is the only good one.
