Also, Seth MacFarlane is a self-described atheist, and Brian (the dog) is mostly based on his real-life personality and viewpoints.
Brian is also portrayed as a very boring and untalented individual. Your point?
Boring and untalented, yet very knowledgeable and practical.
Practical? Knowledgeable? If he was any of those he would know how to write a decent book that would sell at least one copy. And he has a hard time making people laugh on his own. Thats where Stewie steps in.

For someone who hates the show you sure know a lot about what goes on in it.
At its root, most of the humor in Family Guy is based on pun. Think back to The Flintstones. It's the exact same kind of humor, but Family Guy is much more extreme and geared towards a modern audience.
I think MacFarlane's humor is perfect for The Flintstones. He's intelligent and incredibly witty. I also believe that MacFarlane has respect for the classics. I trust him to make a version of The Flintstones that's both funny and intelligent without being overly vulgar.

What's him being atheist have to do with anything? It's not like him not being religious makes him funnier or something, and what exactly is a "self-described atheist"?
I'm atheist myself, so I'm just curious by what you mean by this.
Because I know what I'm talking about. I don't glance and judge like most people do. I give it a chance and finish it before giving an opinion. Even analyzing it before I even open my mouth. I hate when people say "Oh I heard it was good/bad". Even though I do it sometimes too...

Agreed. But I dont know why Tendoboy thinks Seth is Brian. Thats like being proud to be Quagmire. Insulting.
And really I think Seth Green could make that show, if he had the spotlight to give his opinion on some new material. But I feel bad for Seth Green because he has to voice the dullest character in Family Guy: Chris.

Agreed on the Seth Green part. I love his show Robot Chicken, and the fact that he plays the most boring character on Family Guy doesn't show people his true talent. To be fair, Seth MacFarlane has also voiced characters on Robot Chicken (Lion-O in the Thundercats sketches, and a few other generic characters),so it's a "scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" type of thing. Or maybe Seth Green and Seth MacFarlane are real-life friends.
Anyways, I'm done rambling. I think whatever ideas Seth MacFarelane comes up with for The Flintstones would be better than The Cleveland Show (which is basically Family Guy with a black family, even many of the characters are the same). The Flintstones had plenty of self-referencing jokes (dinosaurs doing the jobs of modern appliances while complaining) that it seems like a perfect series for Seth to take on. I would love to see him do a Jetsons reboot too.
One more thing, Quagmire is a pedophile and a sex pervert. Brian is the complete opposite and a marijuana activist..Completely different characters. I'd rather be Brian than Quagmire.

Oooooomg I hate when episodes have too much Chris.
Sometimes that's just how it is. though i'm a fan of short term love and encounters. But i'm honest and won't ever tell a girthat I love if I don't. (causes too many problems)
