Problem: I really want to try that Gimp thing, but whenever I try to go to the site, I get the "Internet Explorer can't display the webpage" thing. Help?

Answer: Get Firefox. IE sucks.

(Also: You don't n necessarily need Gimp for pixelart. Paint works fine, but I like Gimp because it has layer support.)

Cool thanks. I'll see what I can come up with

EDIT: EEEEEGHHHRR!! I keep coming up with this

  • The connection has timed out
  • The server at www.gimp.org is taking too long to respond.
  • The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
    • If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
      connection.
      • If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Fireworks owns if you wanna spend some cash. I prefer it to gimp and Photoshop...not to say I've moved any mountains with either.

So my 16-bit request in a few weeks is gonna be costly?

Yes, it'll cost you at least 500 points, though I'll accept more if you insist. :3

The ocarina of time instrument would be nice.

'k, I'll try to get on it sometime tomorrow.

???
How do they pay you in points? That is very interesting.

By the way, I use Paint.net http://getpaint.net
Gimp and another program I'm blanking out on at the moment for animation, but Paint.net for the actual pixel work because is clean, simple, with easy to access tools perfect for pixeling.

You just add each other's Wii friend codes, and then either person can gift points or games to the other.

Not yet. I'll be out this afternoon, but hopefully I'll get to it sometime this evening.

Don't worry! You'll get it.

Noire

For some reason I was possessed to do some pixel-art myself. The subject herself was fairly easy to determine, and I hope I did her justice (and it's actually in 16-bit):

Untitled

It's not too bad, is it? Please say it's not, I worked hard...I realize it needs to be touched up, and I'm going to do that, just not right now.

Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Very nice. I can't say I know what character that is......; but it looks like a lovely sprite.
