The transitions will hopefully be shorter for the next games, but yeah I'm ready. Finally passed the part I was stuck on and can now get further. Dang Shy Guys think they can do whatever they want.

I've beaten this game, but would like to finally complete it. Get all the star pieces, badges, etc. May not start tonight though as i have a lot of stuff to catch up on.
Let me just say something about Intelligent Systems. They are responsible for some of my favorite SNES games including Super Metroid and Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge making them one of the best Nintendo developers IMO. I'd recommend checking out some of the games they've been involved with; especially the lesser known SNES ones: http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/company/45872.html
But back to Paper Mario: If I remember right, this game is full of clever dialogue and pop culture references.
yes! time to go get a stupid "Classic Controller Pro". Sure wish I could find a regular classic controller. Does anyone know a source for ORIGINAL, "Wii classic controllers", or if there is a good generic knock- off that works. I hate the little handle bars; it makes it hard to set down flat on your knee or something when you really need to wail on a guy, you know? Full disclosure: I don't even have a pro one yet, but I never liked that form factor so I'd rather avoid it if I can find the other one first.

Going to start the game tomorrow, I'm a little busy tonight! Excited to give Paper Mario my first playthrough ever.
I've actually almost beaten this, but I got annoyed with the Flower Fields chapter. I should really just suck it up and finish it... maybe I'll do that now, haha.
@HolyMackerel I have tried to join and think i have probably succeeded. Got a gmail account today. Sorry if my stuff is amateur at the moment as that was my first post.
Just my luck, I'm sick. Had to call out from work. Seems starting Paper Mario is a relatively easy way to pass the time, so I guess the timing wasn't so bad. Definitely going to start at some point today, at any rate.

Hey, do I have to start over? I'm only at Dry Dry Desert, and I'm working on getting all of Goombario's Tattles for all locations and people. I don't wanna start over...

I loved renting Paper Mario as a child. One of the many games I'd wished I had gotten while the Nintendo 64 was in store.
(Downloading it from the Virtual Console immediately)
Edit: Seems like things have changed a bit since I last played it on June 4, 2010. For example, I need to get my Wii Shop Channel updated (Probably a worthless one). And I did have a bit of trouble charging my Wii Remotes at first. But everything else is fine and I should have my Paper Mario game very soon. Glad to see that I have Wii Points as well that I saved over for my birthday.
Edit 2: Currently downloading said game. Pretty excited right now.
Edit 3: Game has finished downloading. Will make another post regarding this on what I played (Which I will warn of spoilers).
Edit 4: My Wii Remote went out faster then expected. Need to charge it more anyways, then I'll continue playing the game.
Edit 5: Since I would much rather not spam the thread with my posts when others have not posted yet, I might as well edit this post again. Oh well, not a big deal.
SPOILERS ALERT! First day owning this game. While I didn't get in as much hours as I wanted to, it was a nice, refreshing start in returning to gaming. It's also memorable. The scene where Mario faces off against Bowser at the very beginning of the game was and still is a great way to experience this game. The writing is cheesy, but entertaining to read as well. I find the fight between Mario and Jr. Troopa to be a bit hilarious, especially since baby troopa's IMO, will probably be the weakest kind of enemies, although this is the first game I've encounter them in. I'm not sure about tomorrow since I'm going to a football game in Lubbock and need to leave their early, plus I have a ton of homework to finish, but I will most likely play the game again Sunday.
@SSBF: Paper Mario is the ONLY game Jr. Troopa is in, actually. He's a very annoying/amusing opponent, IMO. So persistent...
Okay, so I finished Chapter 1 today. I'd forgotten just how long it takes to get the Lucky Star in this game...battle is SO much better with the action commands! The story is still as humorously cheesy as ever, and it's nice to go through it again.
