Topic: Netflix or Hulu?

Which do you prefer?
I currently have a subscription to Netflix but the movie selection is pretty awful.
About 80% of the movies are things I've never heard of.
Is Hulu more likely to have a better selection?

Does that mean the selection is horrble or you just don't want to go pack your comfort zone.

Get both Netflix for the over all selection and Hulu Plus for the criterion collection.

Hulu's movie selection is crap unless you're a fan of the Criterion collection. get Hulu+ if you're interested in current TV shows that are on TV right now, Netflix if you want movies and older TV shows and don't mind not being able to see the latest seasons of new ones.

also, be aware that Hulu has issues regarding which shows are available on mobile devices or web only.

and shingi, the movie selection on Netflix is not that great IMO, especially with them about to lose Starz content — they don't cycle them out nearly fast enough for me, at least. it's not about 'comfort zone' if you've already watched everything they have to offer in your genres of choice.

Forgot about them losing the starz content. Hopefully the Toruchwood series is considered BBC.

Still alot of TV shows I haven't watched yet and Netflix has a really good foreign film section. (wanna watch mesrine again)

But give it a year and the two will merge.

@shingi: true, they do have a decent foreign film section, but most of the time i've got it going in the background while i'm doing something else, so i can't be wasting time paying close attention to subtitles, y'know? :3

I don't have Hulu+, so can you tell me if all 8 seasons of The Office are on mobile devices?

I would have either of them, heck I'd have any sort of TV/Movie service. _{EU... getting screwed over since America was founded...}

But I'm guessing Netflix has a better selection apparently, plus I've never heard of Hulu...

@Oddy: you can search Hulu on your own — it'll tell you on each show page what's available for free and for Plus and whether it's web-only or available for both web and mobile. If it's the US version you're interested in, here you go, and if it's the UK version, try this page.

since I watch primarily TV shows, I can do either, I use netflix though (to watch seasons of shows already aired or shows no longer airing), and suppliment it with the basic free hulu (for current seasons of TV shows if I don't see them on tv as they air), personally, I think Netflix is better, but that's just my take

Starz sucks. I really don't know why people are making a big deal out of it.

@Splat: the TV channel does suck, but Starz provides a surprising amount of random content for Netflix — i remember Tangled being a Starz presentation... but it's a Disney movie, so what's up with that, y'know? lol
