Sounds like a plan. I'll buy World from the Shop Channel and take it for a spin. I appreciate the offer odd69, but I appreciate the recommendation even more. Even if the game doesn't suit me, I won't ring you up for a 5-spot gifter.
And Machu, I hear you about Galaxy. I've heard nothing but good things about that game. I've spent a bit of time looking at game play vids on Youtube. It looks incredible, that's for certain.

It'll be interesting to get into a whole new IP, and if I like it, there are already so many titles to delve into. No downside risk to tryin' it out, eh? Thanks fellas.

We now return you to your thread already in progress.

i just don't like Sony because they're low. ever notice how the PS3 was pretty secretive as far as details until RIGHT after the announcement of what made the Wii special (the motion control), and then suddenly... THE PS3 HAS TILT CONTROL! not the first time that's happened either... N64's joysick revolution instead of just a D-pad... They announced that BEFORE Sony would say what was on their controller (ooh look... a joystick!). Similar deal last gen, too... though i can't remember specifically the copy. anyway... that's a big part of why i still love Nintendo... they ought to steal Marvel's slogan... "The House of Ideas".

  • Despite Golden Sun and the Pokemon games being some of my favorite games of all time, I completely despise the RPG genre as a whole.
  • I think the Crash Bandicoot games are as good or better than most Mario games.
  • For whatever reason, I tend to have a completely different opinion on most critically acclaimed games.
  • I really enjoy fooling around instead of completing a level in most games

1. Nice RPG choices. I personally only like the Mario ones.

2. If you're refering to the original three, I somewhat agree with you. Also I have to add CTR as an underrated racer as even today I find it just as fun as any game in the Mario Kart series.

3. Don't we all.

4. Me too at times. I prefer when the games encourage it though (GTA, Mario 64, etc.)

  • I tend to "voice act" for my character. (IE: Reply when a different character says something and going "ArgghhH!" when I die.)
  • When playing specific games (IE: Mega Man, Sonic) I will sometimes sing what I'm doing in game to the music.
  • When dying in a game, I tend to talk to the main characters in a game. (IE: When playing Mega Man I'll tell Rock "C'mon, you can make that jump! Stop being a little **** about it, just jump.)
  • I love RPGs, but can't stand turn-based combat.
  • I try not to rush games, but even so I tend to beat them faster than I probably should. I love wondering around an enjoying the details and level designs (IE: In Metroid Prime, I spent half an hour just looking around the landing site at Tallon IV)
  • I've enjoyed every Sonic game I've played. EVERY.
  • Hate Sony for many reasons and will never buy a PlayStation, though will play it if it's just given to me.
  • Although I only own a Wii for current consoles, I believe Halo 3 is one of the best games ever created, and people who say it sucks are as bad as the fanboys who say the Wii is a toy.
  • I tend to hate alot of things that are critically acclaimed and love things that are critically bashed (IE: I think Ocarina of Time and Mario Galaxy are incredibly over rated, and I hate Mario Kart Wii, but love every Sonic game.)

There's alot more, but I can't think of any right now.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

*I think that Super Mario Sunshine is the best 3D Mario game,
*I can never truly hate a game based on it's quality,
*Many of my games are unfinished,
*I rarely ever get a WW, VC, or DSiWare game,
*I play video games constantly and still get straight As
*I just don't like the first Zelda
*I love Kirby Air Ride to death
*I think that Luigi's Mansion is awesome
*I love all Sonic games, even though I've never played a bunch of them
*I rarely pre-order a game
*Zelda is one of my favorite series, but I don't own any of the CG games
*I was never to play video games
*The GC is underrated
*Even though I don't like people that hack, I love to watch videos of people hacking a game
And even more.

Probably that his parents disliked the idea of gaming and didn't want him to do it, and now he's on a video game forum posting about stupid crap he does whilst gaming

EDIT: Why does it always say "weirdadam" when people quote Adam?

Okay, I'm sorry to have to do this, but this record needs setting straight, since this isn't the first time you've brought it up, and it's not the last time a Charles-Dickens-inspired poster will make a similar claim.

I didn't ban you. I've never banned you. The fact that you were banned at least twice before I even started working for Nintendo Life should have been some kind of hint, but, evidently, it wasn't.

At this point, I still do not have the power to ban people. When I give you a warning, or Sean gives you a warning, or ANYBODY gives you a warning, it's just that: a warning. Not a personal attack, not a vow of destruction...nothing of the sort. When you're warned, it's because the life of your account is under serious consideration by those who make these decisions. It's worth listening to.

You seem to take the view that assassinating the messenger will protect you. Well, I'm not sure how you've come to that conclusion since you're on your fourth screen name (and counting), more or less proving that that's not a constructive approach.

It's wonderful that you think I have it out for you, and that I somehow have the power to erase you from existence, but the fact that you've been repeatedly banned without me even having the authority to ban is throwing a wrench into your perspective somewhat, and I'd personally advise you to reconsider.

Hugs and kisses,
CB

When playing Zelda games, I name my file "Zink", "Wink" or "Pink". Never Link (or Edward).

However, when it comes to other games, I'll name the character Edward, or some form of the name Edward*

(*Ed, Edd, Edbert, Edwin, Edwyn, Eddy, Edwy, Edmond...)

If it's a game collection, I almost always play them either top-to-bottom or the other way. If I shut off the game, I start back at the last game I played next time.

Also, when I die in Gradius Rebirth (ONLY in GR), I swear.

Well, thanks for clearing that up. When one gets ones posts quoted by a moderator who threatens to ban one for ones benign gaming opinions, one is left to wonder.....

But now I wonder no more. It is always nice to know why things happen - a little communication by the moderators and site administrators is always welcome.

O.o
I'm sorry Orlick, but I HATED that book! Worst. Book. Ever.
(No hard feelings )
EDIT: There goes my overly dramatic teenage drama!
Actually, the book wasn't THAT bad, I just hated all of the work that my teacher assigned for it!
Two chapters a day plus four questions, each one requiring a paragraph of work and a quote from the text. On spring break, he assigned TWENTY chapters with FORTY questions! So yeah, worst EXPERIENCE I've had with a book, EVER!
