yeah, thyroid surgery is a bit weird: to reduce scarring they staple the incision shut. you look like something out of Frankenstein for a couple weeks after, lol.

Ouch. Has it effected you in any way physically? I'm assuming the surgery went well?
Just for you. "I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." - Freddie Mercury
i will have to take thyroid medication in pill form for the rest of my life. i am not always good about taking it, tbh. if i miss more than a couple of days it messes with my metabolism ie i am cold all the time, my legs ache terribly, tiredness, depression. it seems to make the PTSD worse, also.
the first lobe was removed w/o any problems, then about 15 yrs later i had to have the other lobe removed. that one was a wee bit scary because the gland had enlarged (called a 'goiter') and was badly wrapped around my vocal cords. there was a chance i would lose my voice. it didn't happen, but the surgeon said there would be some damage, ie my voice isn't as strong as it was and i become hoarse easily.
Sorry to hear bout all the weird allergy/thyroid conditions here. My wife has a really bad auto immune disorder and it's been miserable to see her turn into what seems to be a women 20 years her age. On this subject I personally have an anxiety disorder that will not let me eat anything period unless I'm on 5HTP. Other interesting fact is that I have a comic collection more than 3x larger than my local comic shop, I have to rent out a 2 car garage storage for it, ugh.
P.S. Remind me not to ever piss of Tasuki.
I have a blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do, a green belt in traditional Okinawan Karate, a yellow belt in Okinawan Kobudo (weapons like Bo, Nunchuk, Sai etc,) took three years of Tai Chi, and also did some training in Ju Jitsu.
Pretty sweet. I'm kind of on the same level. Unlocked all of the combat moves in Sleeping Dogs a while back. No biggie.
The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

My father has to do that, as he had his thyroid removed also.
They apparently wanted to keep me from having to take my thyroid out. So I still have mine.
I've been in remission for about 7 months , but I still feel the tiredness, hot/cold feeling and mood swings. So I still feel like I actually have the conditions.
Even though they could come back. I haven't had to take medication in a while so that makes me happy x3.
Oh and they think I might have contracted another auto immune disease apart from the thyroid ones.
We haven't figured out what I have yet.
I am German, Dutch, Danish, Mexican, Spanish, Native American(Blackfoot and Cherokee tribe mix), and maybe more, but that's all I know.
I have brown hair, green eyes, and my skin is white, but I tan easily and can get pretty dark. My dad is where I get the latino traits from. He speaks fluent spanish, but didn't teach me. I know some though, and italian and french sound very similar along with english since they are all romance languages.

Maybe. I don't have any allergies and rarely get sick. I don't think I've been sick for 8 years(got the flu), unless I just didn't notice.
EDIT: Actually, I had allergies for ONE year of my life. It just so happens to be the year I had the flu too.

I'm like the complete opposite of you almost. I have about 90% Finnish, 5% Norwegian, and 5% Russian blood.
