Did you play the Fix it Felix machine that was touring the conventions for awhile? It was pretty good.
I played the flash version. It was fun, but it doesn't really have the full game potential like Sugar Rush and Hero's Duty has.
But I remember when Toy Story came out, they made a bunch of new toys (I had a big toy Buzz Lightyear to prove it). For such a similar idea, it's dumbfounding Disney didn't take similar advantage.

Toys are different than video games though, and video games cost a lot more to make.
Not to mention Disney is focusing on Infinity.

The arcade cabinets of Fix-It Felix Jr. that I played at Disneyland were actually pretty nice. Would love to get my hands on one.
Anyways I know the concepts behind Sugar Rush and Hero's Duty would make for good games but it doesn't mean it's part of Disney's agenda to make one. I think most of their resources for video games go into Disney Infinity like others have said.
It didn't used to be like that. There are loads of good licensed SNES/Megadrive/Master System games. (Probably NES but I haven't played any of them and they never seem to be put on the VC).

That's because those games weren't made by Disney themselves. They were made by Capcom, Sega, and the KH games by Square Enix.
So to make a good Sugar Rush game, they would have to get Nintendo to make one, and to make a good Hero's Duty game, they would have to get Bungie to make one.
The reason? It's Disney, don't expect actual quality. They haven't realized potential ever since Finding Nemo hit theatres, and while being a ridiculously rich company, they prefer to produce junk that is effortlessly sold to fans of the source. It's more profitable, after all.
We could tell that company all day how they could easily make a difference by making good games, but they'll ignore every reason once they have to invest more than they did back in the 16-bit era.
I think part of the reason is that the entire movie was mostly based off actual games. Wreck-it Ralph I think was based on an old arcade game about breaking walls? Obviously Sugar Rush was Mario Kart based. Though I'd still love to see them as their own games

Lol Finding Nemo is one of the worst movies Pixar put out. Disney has been doing pretty solid with movies for a while though, and I expect Pixar to resume their excellence with Inside Out, The Good Dinosaur, and Incredibles 2.
Plus I'm hyped for Big Hero 6, hopefully it's better than Frozen was.

THAT IS ALL WHAT? Up is one of my favorite Pixar movies! If any Pixar movie was bad, it was Brave, because I haven't seen that one. In other words, this thread is going off topic and needs to get back on track.
It's definitely disappointing we didn't get any great games based off of Wreck-it-Ralph, (Although the mobile version of Fix-it-Felix is kinda fun, but that's not saying much) but it's not too late for a Wreck-it-Ralph game either. For all we know a Sugar Rush game could be in development right now.
I keep hearing that Disney planned to drop their games division or something if Infinity failed, and they put a lot of money into that...
I would seriously prefer a good WIR game to the mediocre Infinity series, but I never expected it. At least the WIR game we got wasn't an unplayably glitched mess? It still isn't good, though, and aside from FIFJR (which is good) the iOS minigames are eh.
@SuperMalleo I'm starting to doubt the sequel will ever come out considering how they dropped WIR in terms of merch and advertising (still waiting for a Calhoun Funko Pop). Probably just impatient. @iKhan I think A Bug's Life is their worst non-Cars/Brave film (haven't seen the latter), but it's still good.

Doubtful. Disney has been spending and working their asses of trying to capture a better make demographic. They aren't going to just drop a successful and critically acclaimed IP that caters to them.
They've already said they are working on it.
