Topic: Do your friends/family members know you're on forums?

Its surprising actually how a lot of people (including myself) hide the fact that they use forums, especially for video games and technology stuff.

For me, only my mom knows i go on forums, the popular kids and even my school mates have no clue im on here, i plan to keep it that way too lol.

So, be honest, do you openly admit u forum to people around u in real life?

Nope. Only my family knows I go on forums. And to be honest, I dont think they really know what I'm doing

My sisters know, but my mom never goes on the computer. Only a few of my friends know that I'm on the forums.

Yeah, they do, and they gripe to me about typing all the time...

I plan on being a videogame designer so I study the business very closely, so thats how I got into the forums.

They are not, but there are people who make fun of people on forums, and seriously, people dont need to know Im on a forum, none of their business. For example, I only tell certain people about me making games. If there is someone who I think is interested about forums,then Ill tell them.

In order for people in real life to know im on the forums i'd have to talk to people in real life...

Sure they do! Basically all my friends know I'm on this forum, because I refer to it by name in conversation. I talk about great conversations around here, funny friends, etc. in the same way one would talk about time spent with other friends in person. I don't make too much distinction between local friends and online friends; they're all friends, so good enough, right?

Particularly, my brother knows I'm on here. You certainly think so, since he is, too! He doesn't post NEARLY as much as I do, but GabeGreens and lz2009 might remember him from the Random Forum of Randomness: Lombax42.

I don't really go around flaunting it, because...who cares, ya know? But I have no problem admitting it. I don't hide my true self in public. i'm a nerd, and i don't care if people know it.

Nobody ever really asks me if I go to forums or not, and if they did why would I hide it?
