Topic: Do your friends/family members know you're on forums?

Lol im not trying to say its a bad thing or a weird fetish, im just seeing whether people are openly honest about going on forums. I already admit i only tell a select number of people. But when it comes to other people, especially people on my sports teams, i wont be talking about forums or a lot of tech stuff. I do hide the fact that im a nerd so i can maintain my basketball star status (even tho im still not popular from it) lol. So honestly i have problems admitting it in front of certain people. However, if somehow people found out i was on here, i guess i wudnt care much, id just get picked on a lot more, and im trying not to fight in school anymore.

Edit for those saying who cares, i guess i should ask HAVE U ever ADMITTED before since its so easy and doesnt seem to matter

It seems u arent in a good mood right now, i recommend going to watch a movie or something with your friends and say kind things like i just did great fun! makes u happy. im 16 by the way if it really matters to u, im guessing ur like 50 or something wise guy ? We're all too young and rowdy for you? sorry, our bad No hard feelings...sir... but Sometimes negativity does get returned with negativity just to inform u.

My grandfather knows and that's it. Even then, he doesn't know which forum I go to. He probably forgotten by now.

My older sister knows, but she's cool with it. That's pretty much it.
As an aside, I'm actually surprised that someone would bring that up.

No, my parents do not know I'm on a forum. Well, they did, but then they banned me from Bulbagarden forums. But I still go there anyway, since I got good at hiding it.

Oh and if you are under the illusion that forums are anything like RL conversations try this experiment. Amongst your closest friends IRL create a forum of some description. Inevitably some forum argument will break out, insults will be thrown, rants will be made. Try to hold an argument for a while with a point that you feel very passionate about.

After this meet your friends IRL again and wait for the argument to inevitably come up in general conversation. Nine times out of ten the mood will be entirely different to what you thought it actually was. That person who was ranting against you will feel indifferent about the topic, that guy keeping the peace will roll his eyes and you will end up biting your tongue when a good point comes into your head.

It is to my parents. They have a huge problem with swearing, and a bigger problem with tolerance.

I am an adult so I doubt they care. Besides I am pretty much the only one in my immediate family that knows how to use a computer.

um, if my mom new she wouldnt give a crap. really, she know that i am responsible enough to not give out personal info.
