Topic: Fears and Phobias

Everyone's scared of something, no one's made of stone. I'm wondering what everyone here is afraid of.

I myself am terrified of heights, have been all my life. How I managed to go onto Shockwave at Drayton Manor a couple of months ago is beyond me. But nothing else seems to bother me that much. My girlfriend has a strange fear of Peacocks. I have no idea why but when we took her sister to the zoo, this peacock flew away from its sleeping area and was coming up to people, she immediately froze. At first I thought it was pretty funny thing to be scared of, of course I didn't laugh, I moved infront of the peacock so it didn't come close to her, but I did feel bad after because she did seem terrified at the sight of them.

So everyone what are your fears and phobias?

Erm Arachnophobia?

I'm not to keen on spiders myself to be honest but they dont bother me that much.

SONY and Mircosoft fanboys . But I am scared of them.

But my fear that actually matters is shyness, in real life, not on teh intawebz, I'm really shy and my grammar isn't as good. I hate talking to cashiers and people I don't know really well unless I have to.

I used to be really shy when I was younger. And would hate it at school if we were doing an activity and I was paired with someone else other than my friends. Now I'm nothings like that .

Lava/intense meltifying heat. I guess you'd call that thermophobia.

And heights too.

I do suffer from vertigo (it's not that im afraid of heights I just get really dizzy) and im only afraid of insects if i'm indoors kinda like a closterphobic thing.

I used to be scared of the night time outside when i was younger cuz i thot someone or animal would attack. Now i think im only scared of heights and most roller coasters xD

I`m scared of heights, whales, and sharks.

Well I used to be scared of water strangely (sea...) but thats all over now (since I was 10)
I am a little scared of hights now though.

Bees, I get petrified when one gets too close. Also, I don't like to see horror movies inside a theater, I get too nervous.
When I was a little used to be scared of sharks, couldn't stand watching them on the TV nor even in posters, but thankfully I got over it, now I kind of like them.

Water past my chest. i nearly drowned when I was 5 because a drunk guy was swimming and knocked my legs out underneath of me.

Open water scares the hell out of me. The feeling of no escape is really creepy.

Chalk up another acrophobe (my, but that IS a common one, isn't it?). Also, much like Terranigma said, various political fears. This world's going down the toilet, and only a fool would NOT be scared, imo! But that's another discussion entirely...

Heights. I can't even get on the roof of my house.
