Indeed. What aspect of one cannot be attributed either to instinct, subconscious anxiety, genetic predisposition, habits that have been reinforced by environmental stimuli, or the random vagaries of a wandering mind? We like to attribute ownership to our personalities, but, more often than not, we're simply justifying the ways in which our brains have been shaped by our environments and our biology. And as our actions in the world are driven by chemical reactions in our nervous systems, the same logic can be adopted toward the fashion in which a person's being is embodied in the world.
If I explain you the truth behind my name, everything you know will change. It's a truth so dark and deep, so twisted and complicated I don't know where to begin with. It's even more mysterious than the meaning of life and a reality older than mankind itself, and even if I tell you, only a few persons would find sense in the words I write, remaining incomprensible to most humans. Some that discovered the meaning found their souls burned with th-
... Well, they call me Roy, and the numbers are my birth date by day, month and year. Yeah...
This blue eye perceives all things conjoined. The past, the future, and the present. Everything flows and all is connected. This eye is not merely seen reality. It is touching the truth. Open the eye of truth... There is nothing to fear.
Mine doesn't really take a lot of explanation. I combined Trinexx (my original username here, and my favorite boss from A Link to the Past) and Tyranitar (one of my favorite Pokemon). I realize the "Tyra" could also stand for Tyrantrum, but I like Tyranitar more.
Also, I enjoy using the letter X in a lot of my online user names.

My username has very basic origins. I was an avid reader of the BIT.TRIP Runner 2 Dev Blog. One day, I decided I would make a comment on one of the blog posts, and had to create a username. I simply went with "Some1Bit1Trip1Fan" because of the anonymity and straightforward description of who I was on that site, some BIT.TRIP fan. The 1's were used because apparently they were used as spaces in messages during the Commander Video ARG. I've abstained from changing it for this reason alone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMyPYcttUMM&t=5m52s). It's slightly embarrassing, but I've kept my username as it is out of sentiment for that period of time and that particular instance. (I also had some extremely embarrassing discussions with a Marketing Agent for Aksys Games in regards to Runner 2, but I have no intention of going into that part of my history. ) I had to simplify my username to meet the character limit on this website, so I cut it down to "SomeBitTripFan". So yes, even though I'm far from a BIT.TRIP superfan nowadays, that's why I've kept the username.
Just Someloggery

Late is a common nickname in Finland. My first name is Lauri. I use the same user name unless it's taken, then I use LateXD. The XD stands for emoticon:
I'm not quite sure why I decided to add XD. I guess I just used the emoticon so much before. If LateXD is taken, then I'm screwed and usually just add something stupid to make it work...
It's its, not it's.

Mine came about when I was hurriedly registering on a gaming forum so that I could ask a question to help solve a problem I was having. I didn't frequent any online communities back then so had no established username. On the spot my head plucked gc-unit: 'gc' representing GameCube, which was my first console and probably what I was having a problem with, and 'unit' just to give it a generic edginess. So if you've ever wondered how to pronounce it in your head, it's G.C. Unit. I shortened it to 'gcunit' for the sake of simplicity, and because at quick glance it almost looks like there's an expletive in there
So it's become my default username for gaming purposes, although it's not my main NNID, though I wish it perhaps was nowadays.

I've been reading it correctly this whole time, but now I can't unsee the expletive version
Colour + Creature seemed like a cool idea for a username. I tried a few obvious colour and creature combinations, but they were taken. So instead I used the first uncommon colour and creature I could thing of, which was Crimson and Tadpoles.
So that's why I'm Crimson even though red isn't even in my top 3 favourite colours.
Here's some more info since I should have elaborated some things in my first post. As I told, Late derives from Lauri and as a word it doesn't have any other meanings. It's just a nickname, nothing more, nothing less. It's pronunciation is closer to English word latte. Words in Finland are pronounced like they're written if that makes any sense. In theory, you can spell any Finnish word (at least almost), once you've learned the alphabet (the letters themselves are pronounced differently compared to English). If you know how to speak Japanese, you pretty much know how to speak Finnish. Well, not quite, but it's close enough.
It's its, not it's.

EOTW is an acronym for "End Of The World". I made it when I was 12 and thought that was edgy. If that name is taken I use Factorem which is latin for "The Maker".
