@RandomWiiPlayer: Agreed. SpongeBob needs his reign of terror to stop NOW. I'm tired of the entire franchise. It was a good show up until after the movie. Things keep on getting worse as the episodes keep increasing. They're unfunny, annoying, and kind of boring.

I'm back (for the moment)!

Best. Cartoon. Ever. I don't understand how this was canceled but Spongebob is still going on. This show was a billion times better.

Agreed. Unlike Spongebob, this show managed to be good the whole way through instead of only being good for the first few years and then sucking after.

This was one of the better shows back in the day when Cartoon Network had good shows. I dont know if its cause I am older now or if CN just got bad but I havent watched it in a few years especially after they got rid of toonami. Heck I dont even watch Adult Swim anymore.

I also hate that they added those stupid teenage reality shows. If you ask me that ruins the whole network. Its like MTV getting rid of music videos for reality shows.

I miss Ed Edd and Eddy and Johnny Bravo. Luckly they just came out with JB on DVD a few months ago.

I'm going to have to agree with this one too. The only show that's worth watching on Cartoon Network anymore is King of the Hill (which didn't even orginate on CN). If I want to watch a good cartoon, it's off to Boomerang.

Ed Edd n Eddy, as obnoxious as it is, is one of the few cartoons that's actually drawn in a brilliantly cartoony way. I think Ren & Stimpy (and anything by Spumco really) stands as the best piece of tv animation of the past 30 years, but Eddy always had some great drawings and visual gags--something that's lost in most cartoons these days. I hate how down-to-earth and un-cartoony today's cartoons are. Characters don't stretch, or bounce, or turn into accordions when they're smashed by an anvil. They're all drawn from stock. All their facial expressions and movements are pre-set. It's assembly-line work like back in the 70's and 80's. I don't personally love Ed Edd n Eddy, but I love everything that it stands for.

Spongebob right now is like all the new shows on Cartoon Network (except Adventure Time that gets bonus points for originality) They are stupid, have no thought to them, keep getting worse by the episode, are out of ideas, and only have humor that a 9 year old that has never seen TV before may find funny. The old episodes of Spongebob are a riot they have so many jokes that I didn't quite get when they first aired that I understand now, they're classics. However, things can't last forever and if they try they'll end up like the Simpsons, repeating ideas, having lousy jokes, and playing second banana to a show that is also running out of ideas and was best at seasons 1-3 before they started destroying their characters and changing their good ideas to things only idiots find funny (I'm ranting about Family Guy FYI)

@Tasuki: Destroy Build Destroy annoys me, too. In fact, just thinking about it makes me have fury! But the best solution to that problem is not watching it. That's why I rarely watch TV, unless it's Futurama on Thursday nights.

Yep thats pretty much all I watch too is Futurama cartoon wise anyway. Sometimes I will watch Fairy Oddparents but thats about it. I just streamed King of Hill from Netflix and just finished watching them. I saw someone mentioned Simpsons I havent watched them since the fifth season they just got so repeative. And I cant stand Family Guy to me that show is as bad as Spongebob.

Its kinda like Saturday Morning Cartoons. I remember all the major networks use to show them from like 6 Am till Noon every Saturday morning. Now your lucky if they even show an hour of cartoons on Saturday mornings.

I loved it when I was, like, 8 years old. Now it's pretty much unwatchable, especially since its basic premise reminds me so much of Top Cat, which is a ten-times better show, IMO. It at least comes off as clever, instead of stupid and tasteless.

Got to admit I've always hated this cartoon. I thought the animation quality was pretty much the worst of the period and I never found anything funny about it. I can see why small kids at the time would have gotten into it though as it had a lot going on that could get entertaining, but to me it spelled doom for quality cartoons on the network and did for a good long stretch.

What are you talking about? That's one of the Cartoon Network classics!

Classics that started the end of watchable cartoons on the network short of Adult Swim. They took all that made that network great between 1995 when it started through early/mid 2000's and ruined it shoveling the good classic timeless stuff to Boomerang and putting out one more as cheaply as possible poorly animated low frame insulting to the intelligence crap on the air instead. I think the last of the great stuff they aired likely was Dexter, Cow and Chicken, and Samurai Jack if I remember right.

One of the best shows ever, the episode I like was the one where they tell a story to Jonny while stuck in a wall. My second favourite is where Ed, himself, was all mad because of that pebble inside his shoe. No idea why this show got canceled, though.

Because by the end it was boring as hell. I still can't watch one of the last season episodes without falling asleep.

I never really liked this show, nor was I a big fan of many shows on Cartoon Network. I was more of a Nickelodeon guy. Rocko's Modern Life, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, the original Spongebob cartoons, Angry Beavers. Those were cartoons. The shows on Cartoon Network were alright, but never as good as those ones.

It's funny how this show was made and possibly set in Canada yet it never aired here once.
