I have been thinking about this for a while now.

It seems like every CEO, President, etc. says things that either view the consumer as an idiot that will buy anything, a person who only does things that rich people want or a hipster.

Like the Crytek CEO basically wanting to get rid of single-player gaming and Capcom blaming fans for the cancellation of a game or getting rid of people who don't like Capcom's practices.

We've seen these people in practically every other industry turning various people off of various products, and I fear that these people might actually destroy the gaming industry as a whole in the same way that they destroy companies for financial gain.

Am I the only person thinking this?

I think it takes a bit more than a couple of uncalled for remarks to take down an entire industry.

Most consumers don't really care what a company's president or CEO has to say. They just care about the actual quality of the products they are buying.

Lindsey Stirling is as awesome as She-Ra. Perhaps even more so.

Let me reassure you: you're not the only one.

CEOs have no say in the final product's ambitions (entirely). Nor does Crytek's CEO or any other CEO have any influence on other developers' decisions.

CEOs don't ruin businesses with their concerns.
