I'm not sure, but I think there are 10 total Zelda games. I've only played 4 of them, but they are truly epic. The only Zelda game I was not satisfied in was Twilight Princess. The game play was okay, but it was repetitive, and the story was not satisfying. What are your thoughts on the Zelda games?

Skyward Sword is the sixteenth game in the series.

The only Zelda game I didn't like was Phantom Hourglass. The rest were okay. The Zelda series doesn't really do it for me anymore. Used to love it, but now I can't enjoy it. The gameplay's still good, but it can't hold up on its own. Story and characters have become far more important to me in recent years and that's where the series really falls short. Link's a nobody, always has been. The rest of the cast rarely gets much development. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess were better about that sort of thing, which is probably why there the only games in the series I still enjoy.

theres actually 15 if you count links crossbow training, i dont count it but its a zelda game. my only complaint is the boss battles need to be harder. majors mask was the only game i thought had hard boss battles. i was really disappointed with TP bosses, there were just to dang easy.

I absolutely loved Twilight Princess. My only complaint is that it took so long to create a traditional Zelda game in 3D. It definitely could have been harder, but then again Majora's Mask is the only 3D game that isn't a cakewalk.

@Mickeymac: I think the reason I liked Phantom Hourglass is the level design. I thought a lot of the islands/dungeons were really cool. I actually can't imagine Link ever having a personality. I mean, he's supposed to represent the player.

If I used Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf as characters in a game, would that be an official Zelda game? The fact that it isn't produced by Nintendo makes it non-canonical.

It says all the Zelda games ever made! Topic title should just be All the Zelda games produced by Nintendo in that case if this is all people want to discuss. They do exist and are Zelda games despite people wanting them to be erased from existence. And yes Rift they are if the main focus is on Link and Zelda. Not every game that has them in it like Smash Bros, would be considered one no because they are not the main characters.

well, all the official zelda games are made by nintendo, so those 3 games are non-canonical as you say. but ive never played them so i cant say anything about them.

@Kainard: First of all, the CD-i games aren't part of the Zelda canon. Second, if you include those, you have to include every fan game ever released on the internet featuring Link as the main character. That fan-made film had Link as the main character, too, so I guess that's part of the series.
