I was going thru my old video games to trade in for points at gamestop, when I discovered an old Nintendo portable of mine. It was my favorite system (until DS). A sleek device. It was a Game Boy Micro. Anybody remember it? If so, did you like it?

Oh yes, I remember those. As far as I know, they still sold them at Best Buy about 2 years ago I believe (or a year ago if I'm not mistaken!) I used to have the first original Gameboy when it came out (yes, I'm an old gaming fool lol) and I remember how that very first black & white Tetris game was soooooo rad. LOL. I think that, and Super Mario Land, were the first released for GameBoy. I also had a GameBoy Advance (silver, flip top unit) and I loved playing with that thing! At one point, I also had a GameBoy Color, and even the original DS and then a DS Lite. It amazes me how I go through so many gaming phases in my life. I'll build up a collection of games, sell it all one day, and a few years later start collecting again with something new. LOL. I still have my Atari 7800 collection from the 80's, as well. I have over 200 Atari 2600 and 7800 games, as well as my original NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) with over 200 games and Robbie the Robot
Good times!!

The Game boy Micro was not much more than a gimmick. It was very slick but unfortunately it couldn't play games from older GB system so I stuck with the GBA SP.
That's also the reason why I don't understand it was just called Game Boy Micro instead of Game Boy Advance Micro. Leaving 'Advance' out makes you think it would play all the old games while the SP and the original GBA were the only ones that actually could.
You would get a lot more money for it if you sold it on Ebay..... Gamestop is a total ripoff they'll buy you're Gameboy from you for maybe 20 or 30 dollars and sell to someone else for like 60
Everybody needs a little funk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKPoHgKcqag I see wut u did ther Awkward cough. Her heeeerrrm!
yeah i bought one for my roommate cause he wanted to play FF4 on the go and i had old non-backlit GBA. Of course I hoped it could also be used as a controller for Four Swords...which it couldn't......in fact there wasn't even a converter or anything to allow the link cable to work with it. It's one of the few handheld updates that seems like Nintendo just forgot about it the day it came out.

I love my Game Boy Micro. It is a bit small for my large hands, but you get used to it. The screen is so excellently crisp and bright that you barely notice the smaller size. For older Game Boy games, i use the original classic GB system ("the brick"), though it primarily serves as my "Tetris Machine". =)
I just played Super Mario Bros 2 and 3 just the other day on my old skool NES... nothing beats that... nothing! (Ok, maybe the original Zelda.)

You should be able to easily find a replacement charger either through eBay or possibly directly from the Nintendo website. Some game shops might also have 'em if they stock older system accessories.
That said, it is annoying that the handhelds use different chargers.
didn't it come out after the very first ds? (ahhh good times I still remember playing super Mario 64 ds for hours)
War was beggining... What happen? Someone set us up the bomb. Main screen turn on. How are you gentlemen? ALL YOUR BASE...BASE..BASE..ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US. What you say?
