there's an update for this in the NA eshop today, i think europe already got it last week. it's not listed under the updates button (useless), so you have to go to your downloads section and update it there.
Well I decided to download it after all I guess that means I can play SMB when I am on the can . One thing I noticed though in level 4-4 where you have to take the correct path to continue the stage otherwise it loops I noticed that they got rid of the buzzer sound if you go the wrong way or the ding sound if you go the right way. Anyone else notice this?

That sound wasn't in the original either, was it? Not sure, but I think it was added in Super Mario All-Stars. Anyone else confirm that, or am I just crazy?

I believe you are correct. That's how i remember it anyway from back in the day — the only way you know you took the wrong path in those looping castle levels was when the pattern started repeated itself.

Really??? Ok well it has been awhile since I played the NES version since I dont have my NES anymore and the version that I have been playing mostly is the All Star one.
I know because I've watched people beat it. I just always run out of time or I panic and get in a hurry and get killed by those weird thingies that squash you or I get lost. But someday I will beat it. Maybe....
