Topic: Who wants 3DS remake!!!

I really want a remake but as the next console in the DS life
Things I want in it :
Dual analogue sticks
5mp camera
Multi-touch
3G
Video chat with friends!!

Isn't that a Playstation Vita though?
here are some notes based on my thoughts:

Dual analogue sticks - could be actually useful with very few games.
5mp camera - would hike up the price, is there a need?
Multi-touch - Apple would probably sue...
3G - would either need a subscription service or it would be very expensive.
Video chat with friends!! -This I like.

There'll most probably be one but I doubt it'll have any of those things. Video chat, if it happens, would be in a firmware update across all 3DS'. 5MP camera maybe, I don't see what the need for it would be but maybe. 3G could happen but I doubt it. Multi-touch and dual analouge? I'm sorry, but, despite the rumors, you're going to have to wait for the 3DS' successor for those methinks.

If we get a redesign I'm fairly certain it'll be a better screen, a more efficient design and a bigger battery. If it's something else I'll be surprised.

Although he hates the concept of the PlaySation Vita, he longs for the day when he can hold a handheld in his hands, play with some good old dual analogue with a multi-touch screen, all while video-chatting with a 5MP camera over his local 3G network.

If by that you mean most games, then sure. Most of the 100-odd PS3 games I have make good use of dual sticks, see.

Oh, look, things that are nice, but aren't a necessity.

I'm quite happy with my 3DS, aside from the fact it launched in blue, and the red one's coming out soon just to spite me.

Oh well, I learned my lesson about being an early adopter.

It's cool for Nintendo fans to hate Sony, see. It doesn't matter that the Vita is actually what they want, they have an arbitrary need to love Nintendo consoles, despite having no features they want, than Sony consoles, despite having all the features they want.

Oh well, keep hoping the "innovative" Nintendo keeps ripping off the "unoriginal" Sony.

A redesign of the 3DS so soon would be admitting that it was a complete failure, especially after such a big price drop and the ambassador program. If they actually do announce this in September, you may as well go ahead and pre-order a Vita because it'll spell death for the 3DS.

Programming is not as easy as it seems. Cramming hardware into something as big as the 3DS is even harder.

Nintendo has done well because their hardware has always been affordable. My advice if you want better games is just get a beefy video card for your PC. Otherwise, be content with handhelds. I think the 3DS is quite a nice system and I don't see anything other than a battery update happening until a console after the WiiU.

Sure, dual analogue makes sense and we'd be better off if we had it but it's a stupid thing to include in a redesign. It's too big of a change to make without it being a successor. Besides, the 3DS does fine without it.

If people had played Kid Icarus they'd know that the Circle Pad + Stylus play style works surprisingly well. For dual-stick arcade shooters (like Geometry Wars) A/B/X/Y does a reasonable job of replacing the second stick. I don't know how well FPS' work with either option but I'd assume the touch screen option would work alright. If not there is always the Gyro which is, probably, just as good as the Wii Pointer if not better.

dual analogue? I've had zero problems controlling any 3DS Games I've played so not really needed.
3G? I'm not gonna pay a monthly contract to play online thank you.
5mp camera? Would be nice, but If I wanted a good camera, I'd buy one.
Video chat with friends? Would rather have a Regular chat or voice chat.
Multi touch? this isn't an Ipod, we actually have "controls" so there is no need for this.

Honestly, it sounds like you want either A PSVita (which is cool, they do seem pretty nice) or an iPod/IPad...

I'd be all for it if only it has a BETTER GRAPHICS. I'm all about graphics these days. If it doesn't have good graphics or multimedia features then I don't want it.
