I'm really excited for the new Majora's Mask even though its a remake I know i'll buy it on release. But until then I will have to wait and I thought id ask what your favourite games are on 3ds
So far I really love Fire Emblem even though it came out a while ago I'm also a fan of Monster Hunter.
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - perfect remake Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - really fluid and enjoyable Zelda Fire Emblem: Awakening - perfectly done strategy game Etrian Odyssey IV - best RPG on the 3DS
Fantasy Life: I'm still investing so much continuous hours in completing it. Super Smash Bros: Enjoy the fighting gameplay and so much to do and unlock Kid Icarus Uprising: Love the replay value I can get out of it even if I don't play it for months prior.

Sonic Generations - Brilliant level choices from Sonic's history, wish they replaced Water Palace with some level from Unleashed though! (Rush and Rush Adventure weren't that great imo) Kid Icarus Uprising - Very action packed with many of the characters having well developed personalities. Fire Emblem Awakening - Fantastic RPG which also isn't harsh on newcomers to the series (a mode present which makes a character not important to the story dying in a chapter not mean never seen again). Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D - Dual-plane gameplay is more fun than the original thanks to the 3DS' 3D slider.
As for next year, all there is to really look forward to is Majora's Mask 3D which is why I think there needs to be a Nintendo Direct soon (January or even in this last week of December).
Definitely New Super Mario Bros. 2. The level design in that game is perfect and it's just so fun to play. There are many amazing and enjoyable games on the 3DS (like Between Worlds, 3D Land, and Luigi's Mansion 2), and it's hard to decide on a fav game, but on a purely fun factor criteria I'm sticking with NSMB2

To me its both zelda games, I have never had the chance to play Ocarina of time before so its really cool for me. Havent really played a link between worlds yet but I really liked a link to the past back in the day so I am kinda excited to play (after finishing OOT). Looking forward to get my hands on majoras mask (will buy it for christmas I guess! that should be the perfect time)...
in no order: animal crossing new leaf i was addicted (not playing anymore though lol) resident evil revelations how can this run on that tiny handheld????? resident evil the mercenaries 3d so much fun lining up combos and leveling skills. ridge racer 3D it only needs online multiplayer. best racing game for 3DS besides mario kart 7 mario kart 7 hey it is mario kart in 3D duh! heroes of ruin too easy but online multiplayer with voice chat was awesome!!! fantasy life also too easy but very polished game. i hope there will be a sequel with deeper fighting mechanics. metal gear solid snake eater 3D i love metal gear solid! PES 2012 love the become-a-legend mode. my second most played game on 3DS
Fire Emblem Awakening is the best game on the system in my eyes, and honestly, the best game in the entire SRPG genre. Truly a gem.
Kid Icarus Uprising is one of those games that hits all the right notes with me. Yes, I liked the controls. They worked splendidly well at making it be incredibly fast-paced.
However, my personal favorite on the system is Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward. Not only is it a really cool story, but the way in which the story is told would only work in a video game. The only semblance to it in other forms of media would be a choose-your-own-adventure book where the book has locks all over the place that can only be unlocked by finding different parts of the book. It's something extraordinary, and it and is predecessor are easily the most memorable stories I've encountered in video games.

Thanks. It might surprise you but I've never heard of Etrian Odyssey IV have to check that one out.
It's a real gem if you like the dungeon crawling experience. And it's even excellent for your first dungeon crawler if you haven't tried the genre yet.

Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward - Favorite overall game on 3DS. AMAZING story and mind-bending puzzles. Shin Megami Tensei IV - My favorite RPG on 3DS. Fire Emblem: Awakening - Favorite strategy game on 3DS. Fantasy Life - Favorite multiplayer game. Super Mario 3D Land - Favorite platformer. Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy - Favorite puzzle game. The open world structure really draws you in to the game's world. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - Favorite action/adventure game on 3DS. Favorite overall Zelda game. Bravely Default - Favorite game musically on the system. This game's OST is simply incredible.
Fire Emblem Awakening: Probably my favourite game on the 3DS, one of the best SRPG's I've ever played.
Zelda: A Link Between Worlds: The best 2-D Zelda since the Minish Cap, and gives recent 3-D Zelda titles a run for their money.
Kid Icarus Uprising: I was surprised how good this game really was. Sure the controls are awkward but once you get used to it, the game becomes so fun to play. The action is frantic, soundtrack is great, and voice acting is well done.
