I only played the beginner contest a couple of times before I got moved on to the next level in the contest area. I think it's more helping out your customer's in your shop then beating the contest's. After i played a bit in my shop & figured out customer's taste in clothing it was relatively easy in the beginner contest. I moved on after the second go about in the contest's. There seems to be the trend that if you win several rounds in first place and then you get some cash as an award, then you win the title. Pretty straightforward. I am not sure if this is a game for guys or what but NL did a review (and it was a guy) and it got an 8/10. Its here if you want to read it http://www.nintendolife.com/reviews/3ds/style_savvy_trendsetters maybe if they have a demo of it I might check it out.
