Topic: Streetpass Glitch

I found this glitch while messing with the streetpass feature on my 3ds & 3ds xl. If you have one copy of a 3ds game & activate streetpass on both system's for the same cartridge you can streetpass yourself with the same 3ds cartridge. I tried this tried with several 3ds games:

Imagine Babyz - 3DS
Mario Kart 7 - 3DS
Moshi Monsters Theme Park - 3DS

Just thought it was a funny glitch.

it works on Mario tennis open to as I let my brother play it and I streetpassed myself on it

That trick also worked for Kid Icarus: Uprising. That's only useful if you want to copy the weapon you want to keep, but you'd have to fork quite a lot of hearts just to get them back.

This glitch works on any StreetPass game, you just play said cartridge based game on another 3DS device, save the StreetPass data and both will swap StreetPass data with each other.

However this is cheating on StreetPass Mii Plaza to get more pieces quicker than others, but to be honest, who really cares anyway?

I don't see how it's cheating. If someone pays for two 3DSes, getting streetpasses is a benefit. It's the same as two siblings having a 3DS each in the same house.

Its doesn't work for Super Mario 3D Land and I checked.

Me and my 3 siblings all have 3DSes, so in the 2 years I've had them I have something like 1600 streetpass hits. I'd have a lot more, but only one checks his streetpasses.

I checked, and it does. After awhile I let my brother make his own file and now I streetpass that, but I streetpassed myself for a good while.
