I decided to post a separate thread about my concern.
I had preordered EO IV at Gamestop and I thought everything fine since I got my preoder bonus. However when I opened my case, tthere was just the safety booklet and the cartridge. Normally (at least every Atlus game I've bought) the games come with quality printed material such as the instruction booklet and according to Club Nintedo, you can also register the game. However, my copy did not come with either an instruction booklet nor the piece of paper with the Club Nintendo code on it.
My question is for those who got the physical copy of the game. Did your copy come with the instruction booklet and Club Nintendo code? I know several of you guys mentitoned you got the game at a retail or through the mail but I've only heard from one person. Please let me know. I got my copy from Gamestop and I've heard that employees steal these codes. I just want to make sure mine wasn't affected. Thanks!
First off: Did you get a pre-order bonus? It might be in with them.
I haven't gotten mine yet, but if Nintendo says you can register the game, and there's no code to be found, that's likely a problem. I'd go back there and ask them what's going on ASAP. It's very possible that none of the copies come with that stuff, but no Nintendo code sounds odd. The retailers themselves will know the answer better than anyone, though.
I haven't seen anything on Club Nintendo to register this game, usually it is only Nintendo published games that can be registered with Club Nintendo.
Did not know that (don't do CN stuff). If that's true, then disregard the part about going to GS to ask questions, it probably wouldn't be necessary since it would never have come with a CN code in the first place. They probably never shipped it with a Manual, though. The demo version has a digital manual, just so you know.
As far as I know it doesn't come with one. Mine didn't and over on the Atlus forums they are complaining about the same thing. Either way I don't care but it would be nice if I could register it on club Nintendo!

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
well according to club nintendo, the download version is worth 60 coins.....so I don't see why the physical copy wouldn't be the same....that's so weird. http://club.nintendo.com/coins.do
I walked into Gamestop today with no Preorder. I didn't see the game on the shelf so I asked for it. They hadn't even put them out yet. I decided to buy the game.
A lot of games now are coming without instruction booklets. Such a shame. I never needed to use them, of course, but I loved reading the character bios and looking at the included artwork. And sometimes they had interesting information in them.
Without instruction booklets, how would we have ever discovered that Birdo is transsexual, for instance?

It is a shame. I've preordered games in the past that have come with bonuses like hardbound instruction booklets, cloth maps, and other toys alongside the music CDs. The last two games I've preordered didn't even have paperback manuals. I'll need to be more conservative with my preorders in the future. It's just not what it used to be.
