Topic: Ocarina of Time 3D 3 Heart Only Run

Hey everyone, I've started a new game on Ocarina of Time 3D, but with a twist: I'm beating the game without any Heart Containers, meaning only 3 Hearts. What do you guys think?

Go for it. I've never tried it, 'cause I know I wouldn't be able to, but if you're confident enough, then do it.

I did this on Phantom Hourglass, they are very easy, though they seem hard. BTW Dark Link will have 3 hearts as well so he should be easy

And beat Ganondorf? I've heard of people doing it before, but they spend YEARS of training for it. Are you sure you're ready?

Are you allowed bottled fairies?

I did a 3 heart run of the original OoT, and died about 10 times. I collected all 4 bottles and always made sure I had fairies when entering a dungeon. It's not that hard to be honest, but Ganondorf can be a pain though.

I was thinking about that when I was fighting Bongo-Bongo. It's a lot harder on the 3DS. I'd die a lot more than on the original. It's much more awkward using that little system rather than a real controller.

I did a three-heart run on the N64 version. It's pretty easy.

Just so everyone knows, I'm doing a normal game, not Master Quest. Oh man, Master Quest would be hard with only 3 hearts. But hey, if I can conquer this, I might do this on Master Quest next.

I've already done it, and I've completed the 3-heart playthrough of the normal quest. I'm currently doing a 3-heart playthrough of Master Quest. I usually do this with my Zelda games. I name the normal playthrough after myself, and then I play through it again with only 3 hearts and name him Link. You should play Master Quest with 3 hearts. It's so fun!

! No wonder I crushed him in my 3 hearts play throughs! I go in there expecting an impossible battle and he falls after like 3 blows. XD

Too easy. Next you need to try the 3 heart Master Quest challenge WITHOUT A SWORD.

Hmmmm....I might just do that after I finish my 3-heart Master Quest run. >:3

I tried this before on the GCN version, I cracked at Bongo. God that guy takes those three hearts and pounds them into dust. Doing this is not for the faint hearted. But if you can get past Bongo then you, sir, are amazing! I'd love to do Ganondorf with only 3-hearts, but alas Bongo has always been in my way.

I might try this on the 3DS now though with its improved item select system.

1) Use your shield.
2) Make sure to have lots of fairies.
3) Don't get hit!

Guess I'm going to need to use lots of fairies.

@Link245: You might already know this, but here's a tip. Bosses go down really quickly if you spam the jump-slash on their weak point.

Still too easy. Try a three-heart run in Majora's Mask. Without the Razor Sword, Gilded Sword, Great Fairy Sword, or any temple's Stray Fairies.

...Wow, that really does sound hard. I might have to try it. D:

I might give this run a try once I complete both the normal and Master Quests a hundred percent. I have been wanting to try this run and the Uber Challenge for quite some time.

i'd have to say 3 heart run are pretty easy apart from ganon (ganondorf being so easy that the last ten times ive killed him i havent been hit once, including the time where i beat him with a bottle).
