Topic: Nintendo 3DS XL?

My 6 yr old daughter has a ds1 XL and would love to upgrade to 3D but because of the size of the screen she has to wait to hopefully a 3ds xl comes out as she has signnificant sight loss, some people dont have a choice. I think all products should have different versions to fit an individual's wants / needs. People dont need to rush out and get the latest models but they still will and companys will do what they set out to do create good products and make money thats why they bring these models out at different dates too. I just want to know if and when the 3ds XL will be out???

I won't be playing the "Nintendo handheld upgrade game" (unless it's a next-generation upgrade like GB to GBC, GBC to GBA, GBA to DS, DS to 3DS). Maybe I should call it "Nintendo handheld revamp game" instead. Color me not interested! Perfectly happy with my 3DS Phaaaaaat. The one and only time I considered it was when DSi came out, and that was only because some Nintendo rep shot their mouth off prematurely and said there'd be a VC. When that went out the window, so did my DSi purchase plans (me hugs my DS Phat with GBA slot:)).

Its a HANDHELD. By nature you would have thought one would like it as the DS Lite, DSi, 3DS size screen to be honest. I have a conventional console for large screen gaming

I hope they don't do it too soon, they need more time to do what they didn't do with the DSi. You know the hardware improvement that it desperately needed, that it could of had but even with the 3DS out they can still work on the DSi firmware, better browser, extras, and DSiWare games. You know to give consumers a choice.

3DS XL would be fantastic. I reckon we'll see it in two years if the 3DS continues to sell well. One if sales start to disappoint. I love(d) my DSi XL. Still have it and don't plan on getting rid of it but I don't use it.

I don't really understand what everyone is getting their knickers in a twist over. So Nintendo will release updated hardware. Tech manufactures update their mobile phones, TVs, Blu-ray players, fridges and cars ALL the time. If you only want the best version of something then you'll never buy anything!
