Man, it's hard to take down a Brach by yourself — especially not even having palicoes to distract it! But I managed to somehow still take it down — without losing a life!

Nice! I died as soon as the dc happened so yea, I didn't even have time to react haha. Was reading the messages of the disconnection, when boom, one hit and another.

Yea and I was right under its pounders, stabbing him to death. You can obviously guess how it went.

He's actually not that difficult for me, sometimes I'll have trouble, but for the most part I don't have too much trouble...

@Megumi:
Depends on the weapon I am using mainly. He's usually pretty doable with the Insect Glaive but tough for me with the other weapons. I guess the super buff, mobility and mounting of the IG helps. I haven't tried the variant solo though... He's scary -_-

Sword and Shield takes too long, I can't reliably guard point him with the Charge Blade and other reasons for other weapons.

Correct me if i'm wrong. But the difficulty of the monsters is higher online than the same quest in offline/single player, right? If so, does the difficulty change when you DC and obviously play offline or do the monsters keep the higher difficulty, if this is at all true.

All gathering hall monsters are buffed, whether you're by yourself or not. So having everyone else DC shouldn't have any effect either way.

Also, HBG against that monster, in that location, without Palicoes, after using all traps/bombs/flash bombs/most of my ammo, against the other monster, down to pierce shots — with recoil (which each shot left me wide open to attack), I'd say I did pretty well.

His raging variant is a joke if you're usually a gunner since he has less threatening ranged moves unlike regular Brachydios.

Ah well, I suck with ranged weapons. xD

@Spanjard: The difficulty of the monsters in the gathering halls is marginally higher offline or online. It doesn't change if you go from online to offline or vice versa. That is why in the same tier, low/high/G, the caravan quests are easier than their Hall variants even when you solo the latter.

That is why some monsters are hard to solo without a proper setup/strategy due to the higher difficulty. These are usually the apexes and the tougher elder dragons like the Fatalis trio, Dalamadur/Shah variant.

Yeah, kinda did wish the HP was reworked and scaled with more hunters. Even with Attack Up (XL), Sharpness +1, and weapon honed for Attack...it still took me about 45 minutes to take down the NORMAL Gogmazios. (Quagmire Quarrel)

What, no Dah'ren Mohran? No Shah Dalamadur? No "must fight naked" rule? If you're doing everything in your power to kill us, why stop there? Show me your moves, Capcom!

To be fair, that's the last challenge for High Rank Caravan. The G Rank Caravan challenge puts you against 3 Apex Monsters, you face 2 at the same time and the third one shows up after one of the corpses disappears.

@DarthNocturnal
Yeah I was referencing the Master's Test, it has 3 and not 2 Apex Monsters. You first face an Apex Seregios and Diablos, then an Apex Deviljho jumps in once one of the two monsters are down.

I haven't even touched that quest, too scary for me. lol
Imagine if Seregios was replaced by Rajang or something. xD

Oh the Master's Test... That was one helluva quest. IG-friendly quest though.

And you get to use the divider in between so it ain't 'super extremely' tough. Still really tough though. And I did that quest before I knew about the Apex soft spots -_- That quest would have been hell without dividers. No way smoke bombs would last super long to kill 2 monsters. And is it just me or Seregios can see through the smoke?

Another really tough quest was the HR quest with the Frenzied Zinogre and Furious Rajang. The quest was a HR quest with the monsters being as strong as G-rank. In the sanctuary. Although the Rajang helped me kill the Zinogre since luckily they still had their high rank HP levels.

I died twice in that and barely killed Furious.

@DarthNocturnal: I really like to stay away from those monsters.

@Megumi: Please no. The Rajang would have stolen all my 3 lives by himself.

So if anyone ever wants to do some GQ's and help me level em up, let me know They are all at the 116-120 lvl atm but the Head bow/Bowgun one I have is at 129.

Ah Guild Quests. I still can't wrap my head around the Fashion Hunting.

Might as well just take all having the same series armour bias but different parts. One complete set right? Apparently that also doesn't work since the monster should be the same ugh... I am so confused!

@OutCold: Sure. Although I also have some quests to level so we can reap the benefits together xD
