A compromise could have been: If you hit a teammate YOU take damage. That way you still have incentive to make your shots count, and it would completely eliminate the "trolls" at the same time.

Since it's supposed to be a team game, they should also make it where you get your total team points as well. It's almost impossible to get a long streak anymore, and if all the players are good, a novice would have an even harder time accumulating points. Not to mention all the selfish players, that abandon the team to chase points (I've done this myself), going after CPU's and supply ships.

@JaxonH Exactly. I'm just grateful that when I was young, I was smart enough to understand this exact concept. So luckily, I didn't go through it like most kids. 8)

I think if most young people (get off my lawn!) understood this as well, they wouldn't have to spend all their time on the internet, trying to compensate for their insecurities. :P

@IRNBRU115 It's all good. :) And my apologies if I came off a little harsh. :P I'm just tired of reading all the needlessly negative comments, that "games" aren't "hard-core" enough. Especially when you consider, that most of the people that use the term "kiddy", are usually themselves either, immature chronologically, or emotionally.

Most people find that, when they get older, a lot of the things they liked as a kid, they also like as an adult. It's those "teenage" years of insecurity, that most people like to forget. :P

@IRNBRU115 Or, they're also for adults who can appreciate the fact that "games" are supposed to be fun; who aren't insecure about what other people think; and have better things to do, than trying to put down games because they're not "mature" enough for their immature minds.

If you want "Realism" and "Mature" themes, there's something called "Real Life" for that. For those of us that live in that world, a nice relaxing "game" is a most welcome break, every once in a while. :)

@JaxonH You just beat me to it! :)

@Captain-Falcon How is it mostly useless? DLC allows Nintendo the ability to add content that would otherwise never exist. Games are limited by a budget, so there's only so much they can add in a game. DLC allows the people that would like more content, the opportunity to purchase it.

I'd love a $100 Mario Kart, if it had $100 worth of content. But a lot of people wouldn't be able to afford it all at once, quite as easily. This way it breaks up the price, and makes it optional. If you don't want it, then nobody's going to make you buy it.

@JaxonH Agreed. Although there are literally thousands of combinations of genetic mutations. So the people that demand that everyone should be included, would either have to include all of them, or they would be hypocrites.

Where's the representative for the Albino, Cherokee, Dwarf demographic?

@Zach777 THANK YOU!!! I was just about to write the same thing. I was starting to think that everyone was completely ignorant of reality. How can these people be taken seriously, when they have no concept of human genetics? I know it's the internet, but I'm still disappointed. :(

FattyWhale_42 commented on Bayonetta 2 Listed for Summer Release in Japan:

@JaxonH I checked Walmarts website again, and it showed both (X)enoblade, and SMT x Fire Emblem with Dec. 31st. release dates. There was also listed a "Zelda 2" (Hyrule Warriors?) with a June 1st. release date. They could just be place-holders (the price definitely is on some of them), I suppose time will tell.

@Damo I would first like to say that I enjoy your articles, and I think you do a great job at Nintendo Life.

That being said, I strongly disagree with most of your ideas. However, the one that most others seem to disagree with, the idea of going digital only, is the one I'd like to address.

If I may, I'd like to offer a possible solution that could make everyone happy:

Physical cartridges that can download the game data onto the 3DS/2DS.

This would allow people to still buy physical cartridges, while it would also allow the ability to have it stored on the game system. But to prevent people from downloading the game and then selling the cartridge, the data is actually transferred, rather than copied. If you wanted to sell the game, all you would have to do is transfer it back to the cartridge. It would basically act as a specialized SD card.

Let me know what you think. :)
