Monster Hunter 4 8D?: So the future is 8D, not 3D?

Ok, I'll stop being sarcastic now.

I had no idea the 3DS could handle the 8th dimension.

Wow, I want to see the 8th dimension! That'll blow my socks off. Monster Hunter 4 8D can't come soon enough.

Capcom needs to bring this outside of Japan even if it means sacrificing chances of 3G coming here.

Seriously though, I was really surprised to hear this. It's fantastic news for Nintendo - even if it isn't exclusive - and I can't wait to hear more, though I expect we'll have to.

It's an emoticon (look at it sideways). It represent both shock (eyes) and excited happiness (big smile). Also, tendoboy's joke was incredibly lame and unfunny, so all the people that followed piggy-backing that lame joke should be ashamed. smh

On-Topic: This is a huge announcement for Nintendo. It will cement the 3DS's popularity in Japan with just this game alone. Really hoping it gets a US release.

No region lock so I can have fun with you peoples.

FINALLY saw the trailer (damnyou iPad!!). I love how you can fling yourself around the environments. Very cool. Monsters seem that much more lethal now.

I just hope they change the hunters' run animation... haha.

@Samholy: 4 probably won't come out until late 2012 or even early 2013 in Japan.

This game probably won't be finished for awhile. probably 2013.

It's just a 'concept' trailer or whatever, that's just some ideas they want in MH4. Nothing's final in that video.

Edit: And that's not even gameplay, it's just a cool chase cutscene thing. At least, it better not be what they want gameplay to be like. I'd like to play MH without running constantly from the monster D:

So, as people already said before me, it won't come any time soon.

Fighting all over the landscape would be sick. Climbing cliffs, jumping on monsters' backs, being chased into tunnels... If it's kept open instead of rigidly scripted, then it'll be ridiculously awesome.

Open would be nice like you said. No loading times or separate areas~ < 3
