T_T It's bigger than Jaggi and Quru, dude.

@BellGoRiiing I've found slowdown in some courses on Ridge Racer, Ocarina 3D against Ganon and freezes on Ghost Recon Shadow Wars. :/ However, I haven't seen slow down in Ridge Racer recently or freezes in Ghost Recon. I'll have to re-try Ganondorf's fight and see what happens...

Yes, and Jaggi and peco are like the two smallest monsters in the games :3

Flying Wyverns tend to be larger than Bird Wyverns.

I believe those were glitches that Nintendo fixed not too long ago. I don't own the games so I'm not entirely sure, but heard about gameplay issues appearing from an update. And I think Zez is saying that Rathalos is no bigger than some of the bosses in Ocarina, lol

@Zez Well obviously... omg... you keep making yourself like your the god of MH at times, sir. >_>

@BellGoRiiing
I know Ninty updated the games because RR had some controller issues after the eShop launched (I think it was) and that got fixed, but still noticed some slowdown... I'll have to check Ocarina and see if that still lags like hell at Ganondorf, probably still does. D:

Nope, still lags lol, but doesn't seem to be as bad now though...

Anyways... lets get back on with MH for 3DS.

Well like I said I never noticed any lag during Ganondorf other than the arrow part...and even so I kinda figured it was somewhat normal for some reason...or maybe I'm just used to it from being in the original. xD
Also, I may just be wrong about Zez, maybe he meant something else, lol

The 3DS graphics and the PSP graphics are about the same anyway...

@Kid_Crono Maybe so, but it was never in 3D though was it? 3D is already known for slowing down games and causing most games to run at 30fps compared to the 2Ds 60fps... if MH3D is in constant 3D I can see there could be a fair amount of lag and slowdown... especially for the bigger bosses like Rathalos etc.

I never said anything about using the 3D feature. I was talking in general.

Yeah, the laggy arrow part. :3 I don't remember the laggy arrow being in the original? o_O Besides, if it was, surely they could've fixed that with the 3DS, right? Unless they added it in for old school players. :3

@Crono Oh okay, I see.

That's what I'm thinking...maybe the laggy Light Arrow was on purpose. xD

Every thread related to Sony is entertaining

Anyways, framerates has less to do with the system but whether or not developers are lazy to make things run smooth. There's always those games that have framerate issues and for people to think "Damn, this console has problems" well, I call them nutty. Because if devs can't optimize or even care about going through and making sure games run as smooth and possible, well, that's their fault. Of course, some framerate chugs are understandable, I guess. But it doesn't mean the system is the problem and what it's packing.

I mean, especially when it's Nintendo's systems. Everyone can dismiss Sony and Microsoft's consoles and the games on their platforms with some games with those framerate problems. If it's on Nintendo's consoles, it's the console itself. Not the game.

Remember this folks. Else you'll be laughed at and called a fanboy if you don't agree

This! I don't understand why, but Nintendo's systems always get knocked down to be honest. They make some really good consoles and games yet for some reason "Nintendo suck, Sony whoops their asses", uhm how exactly? Nintendo have been the king for the past few years now with their DS pwning the PSP and the Wii completely nuking the sale charts blowing the 360 and PS3 out of the water.

Nintendo sells! Yet for some reason, fanboys always say that Sony and Microsoft are better. Yes, better consoles, better online but yet it always gets thrashed by Nintendo with their kiddy image, low budget consoles, low budget high quality games and Friend Codes. Power means nothing in this war, it's about the kiddy image!

Well I'd imagine that is MHP3 was ported to the 3DS it'd have framerate issues, especially considering it did a bit on the PS3 (well not for me but some people reported such) when it was supposed to run smoothly at 60fps. A game built ground-up for the PS3 wouldn't have any of those problems of course.

Which brings up my next thing, why not hope for a new MH game on the 3DS rather than a port? It'd be better, especially if they reworked the weapons to work with the 3DS's limited input.

It's because Nintendo doesn't make games involving guns, blood, and boobs....so they automatically suck, lol

Nintendo has characters with boobies. It's just Nintendo isn't Sony which are perfect. Sony makes the best consoles with high price points- something Nintendo did, but they're not Sony, so they're not allowed to.

We need more companies to be like Sony. They are so godly, even if their reps are some of the most unprofessional, they are perfect.

And such a perfect company should be the only one to have the perfect MH games.

It's too late. If we can all agree to keep this an MH3DS thread, I'd oblige. You should be the last to even point that out.

And yeah. Graphics are not what make the games good, as explained

They do matter. But it shouldn't be a priority- I mean, that's what I believe. Because when I do start making a game, I'm more keen on focusing on perfecting the gameplay over everything else.

zezhyrule

Hey, your opinion may be that gameplay is more important than graphics. And while that's true for a lot of games, I also feel that they are important for a lot of things, like bringing atmosphere and stuff. MH wouldn't be MH if it looked like Uncharted, because each has a distinct style. And I'm not saying you should have awesome graphics and throw good gameplay out the window either, but no one can argue that they'd rather play a blurry unreadable MH with horrible framerate issues and jagged graphics over a good looking HD-ish game if they played exactly the same (sans one analog >.>).

also, not to be technical but without graphics videogames wouldn't be videogames. they'd be audiogames

I disagree. You would have much more fun playing a game if it looked pretty, then if it played the exact same way while looking like sh*t.

Graphics do matter, it adds to the whole experience of the game. If I was playing a game, the gameplay was great but everything else was awful, I would not be happy. If the overall experience isn't great then it really isn't worth my time.

I agree navi. You know what else matters a whole lot? Control. You know what wouldn't work with the 3DS's controls? MH.
