you think it couldnt handle this ? the 3ds is solid, i dont see why it couldnt. its not like there is tons of vertex to draw, or hires textures to generate. the only problem i see would be the networking system, but there could be some way around.
an offline/host mode where you build your world, so you can invite people later. the world stays on your 3ds, people can join in freely or on invite. if it can handle 60fps second with online street fighter, it should be able to do so with minecraft.
why do u think it couldnt handle it ?
It's not that the 3DS can't handle it, its' not fit for the 3DS. It's a tiny little system.
Microsoft has on the game when it comes to gaming platforms ( i think the next games as well)
but unless Sony and nintendo want to pay out the wazoo then they aren't getting it.
In honesty, the creators have more exclusivity to it. It would be their call if they were to have a version of it. Even on 3DSware.
And then break their contract with Microsoft and never work with them again. Do you think they'd be dumb enough to do that?
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
I reckon the 3DS can easily handle that game. The terrain is just a huge grid with little use of physics. I still doubt this would ever happen. You know, it's nintendo.
Not extremely into nintendo at the moment, but not really into anything else either. :|
Obviously its never going to happen but it would me awesome!
Actually, scratch that, it would be disastrous! I would never leave my handheld!!!

Randomly created world that lets you build anything with wide variety of blocks. Usually played in survival where you put your effort in survivng(duh) and getting resources. You also fight against monsters at night. A lot to be said. Its pretty much endless game.

I have faith in humanity. In people that havent tried it or heard of it cuz it makes you spend days on it>< Its probbaly better not to get sucked in. x)
I know I'm in a very small minority here, but I don't like minecraft.

Lol...we're here as gamers. We game to have fun.
But as soon as theres a possibility that a game is so fun that you just put a lot of time into it - it must be disregarded? Lol
Anyway - my answer is no. 3DS doesnt need Minecraft. PC version is the best - if you want to play it, play it there.

Its not good for game to be endless in my opinion. i love minecraft but i also know i waste too much time on it as its up to you where to go and what to do. It just doesnt end. Its hard to stop. In Mario, you know that you are done after few levels. In Minecraft one simple idea can be turned into many hours.
Play what you want^^ There are still some people that dont dedicate their time entirely to games though. And i wanted to warn them a little bit. Not good for folks who like to spend their time outside hehe.

Wow - you implied I dedicate all my time to games and dont go outside....burn?
No. If a game doesnt end and offers limitless fun - then it's all a game ever needs to be. Assuming of course that you're only paying for this game once and not following a subscription, a game that lasts a very long time is what all games should aim to be. All you need to do is control yourself and the time you play on games. If you dont have the self control to not play a game all day then you have issues whether or not you buy the game...

Well it's probably good if someone hasn't played it because they will live happy and healthy lives in the future!
IT TOTALLY RUINS YOUR LIFE!!! SO ADDICTIVE!!!

Well technically Minecraft does have an end... it has ending credits, a closing song and a sign saying "The End" as well.... all of this can be yours if you find a stronghold, travel to a dimension called "The End" and defeat the evil "Ender" Dragon. So for those people who WANT to be limited by the game makers you have your ending point. Myself, I adore the game because it allows me to use my creativity in a way others can enjoy through servers. How long you play it for each day is up to the player... you can play ANY game for an unhealthy amount of time, most of my old Pokémon carts have over 300hrs each. :/
MInecraft has a great community spirit though, I play on a server where we all record videos to share on Youtube and we all help each other build and compete for the most impressive builds (I win of course)... if a game can help BUILD your social life (chat to at least 2/3 people a day on Skype) and at the same time receive mind blowing updates on almost a monthly basis, I think there are very little downsides.
Minecraft for the Wii U or 3DS? Well I have it on my phone & my laptop, may as well add it onto my portable too!
