Has anyone played both of these games?

I did not buy either of these when they were released but I need something to fill the gap until Smash Bros.

Any suggestions which one?

...Bravely Default...

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Depends. Have you played the demos of both? If yes, here's some advice:

  • Bravely Default doesn't do anything beyond what you get in the Demo to surprise you - or in other words, it's painfully unoriginal and bland, but solid at what it does. It's only your thing if you can look past the terrible writing, since the gameplay is the only good point.
  • Mario Golf World Tour, on the other hand, has very limited appeal, simply because it's golf, but it expands and improves a lot on the demo content. It's exactly what it's supposed to be, and offers a lot of challenge if you like the genre. Also, online.

I got both demos.

Played Mario Golf demo, bought the game. Played a while, never went back to it.

Never even played the BD demo. From what I have heard the game is good but I haven't bought it. I have already several JRPGs I haven't touched, and those games demand a lot of time and patience.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

Bravely Default. It's effectively free now, considering how expansive the demo is (Ch1-4).

My username is the same as my Network ID. There goes originality.

I'm a person, apparently. Who knows? I might be lying, after all.

If you enjoyed previous Mario Golf games (or liked the demo), get World Tour instead. I've had the game since it came out and I am STILL unlocking new equipment and attire when I play. Online is great too!

Do you want a sports game or an old-fashioned JRPG? They're quite different games.

I love BD, but I'm also an RPG fanatic. I don't care for Mario Golf, but I also hate golfing games.

It really depends which you would prefer.
