Long time Legend of Zelda 'absentee' who's been playing 'A Link Between Worlds' on the 3DS.. I'm not too far in, but I can say that the game is a lot of fun, despite the fact Nintendo clearly doesn't want me to enjoy myself..
30 minutes in, and they're telling me I should take a BREAK.. and then again after another 30 minutes...and then again after another 30 minutes....I'm an ADULT, Nintendo...this is a 'G' rated game...i.e. NOT a children's game..It's rated for EVERYONE!!
Are you actually serious?

They do this with many first-party 3DS games. It's nothing new.
Hi, I haven't had a handheld system since the original DS system. Ever since the new Pokemon games have came out (X and Y) I have wanted a 3DS. Well with the deal Walmart just had this past black Friday for the "New Super Mario Bros 2 Edition" 3DS XL, I got one. (going to be a Christmas present.)
so I have New Super Mario Bros 2, and I also bought...
Pokemon X (last Pokemon game I played was Pokemon Red...on my original gameboy!)
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Super Mario 3D Land
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (got it cheap on black Friday)
After looking through some web pages and checking out games, these games are on my "to get list"
Bravely Default
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy
Etrian Odyssey IV
Pokémon Omega Ruby
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
Mario Kart 7
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
Kid Icarus Uprising
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward
Super Smash Bros (3DS)
Yoshi's New Island
Star Fox 64 3D

anything I should add to the list?
That's a pretty good list to start with and end with. Here's a few more gems you want to consider kinda going along with the theme I see in your list.
Ghost Recon Shadow Wars (some consider it to be the best launch title as do i)
Zelda OOT (definitely the best version of OOT and something to behold in 3d)
Etrain Odyssey Untold (a remake of the first in the series with a main story and set characters or you can play it enhanced with the original story)
SMT IV (my personal game of the year last year)
SMT Devil Survivor Overclocked (one of my top 5 3ds games)
Fantasy Life (I've recently sunk over 160 hours into this and still going strong)
Final Fantasy Theatrhythm Curtain Call (Also recently sunk over 100 hours into this)
Lastly (and btw I could add about 10 more easily) a good deal of these I listed and you have good demos in the eshop. For instance both the Etrain games not only have demos but it's the first parts of the games and all progress transfers over to digital or retail copies so check those out as it's like playing the actual games. Bravely also has a good demo if only to give you a taste of what's to come. Fire Emblem's demo is the first 2 stages.
There is also countless eshop games you should try but I believe you have more then enough for the next 2 year's lol. I'll add one more series that's rather odd but imo something worth checking out, the Denpaman series (eshop only). All 3 have demos in the shop and all of the data transfers over to the main game as well. Personally since the story doesn't matter I would start with 3 and work your way down if you like but 3 is really All you need.
If you're ever looking for more suggestions don't hesitate to ask. I envy you if only because you have one huge select to pick through.

Oh, I thought it was going to be a shooter so I looked over it befor, lol. I did really enjoy Advanced Wars on the GBA. I 'll have to add it to my list.

Good thing I bought a 32G memory card for my 3DS, seems like I'm going to need it, lol!

I was thinking about getting more into jrpgs. I like zelda and I ordered myself chrono trigger. I dont like random battles. Is there anything that you could recommend for me> DS or 3ds, doesnt really matter.
I was also thinking about radiant historia as it seems to have a nice plot/story and no random battles (could anyone confirm this)

For the record, Zelda is more Action/Adventure than JRPG (it's more similar to games like Okami, Mega Man Legends, etc.), so liking the series may not be the best indicator of whether or not you'd like JRPGs.
With that in mind, here are my recommendations (in no particular order):
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story (DS/Turn-Based)
Lufia: Rise of the Sinestrals (DS/Real-Time)
Kingdom Hearts: 365/8 Days (DS/Real-Time)
Kingdom Hearts: Re:Coded (DS/Real-Time)
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (3DS/Real-Time)
Tales of the Abyss (3DS/Real-Time)
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Then you should get to know it. It's only the best ds game and one of the best rpg's ever made.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Hey all, I was thinking of purchasing Mario Kart 7 and I was wondering how it's held up? I play a lot of Mario Kart 8 and was looking for something similar to play on the go. Is the gameplay somewhat similar? Is it still a fun game? How's the online play?
I've played my sister's copy. MK7 is okay. IMO the gameplay is a bit slow, and the lack of bikes is upsetting. But I usually stick to console Mario Karts anyway.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
Hi, So i've read a number of people on other sites say that Mario Golf's single player is lacking. What do people who have played through the single player content of Mario Golf think? Is it worth it if i'm not going to venture online? Thanks.

Lacking? I don't know what they played but there is plenty to do especially if you get the dlc as well. Sure the game says game over after you beat the 3 tournaments but that's far from game over. Without online I would say I put in at least 50 hours trying to get all the awards I could and I still could put in another 50 to get the rest. If you ask me there is tons of content!

Cheers! Yeah, I think the main criticism was how short the single player tournament mode was in comparison to previous entries. Sounds like there is a fair bit more content outside of that though. I think i'll add it to the list. It looks quite good...

Would anyone recommend Persona Q for those who don't play jrpgs often?
I always hated JRPG's like final fantasy (still don't like FF in particular), but then I played the demo of Etrian Odyssey 4 on the 3DS and fell in love with the series. The exploration, music, skilltrees, battlesystem and world really clicked with me. I recently bought Persona Q, and it has all the stuff I liked about EO. It does focus way more on story though. Dungeons have really clever puzzles and battles are great. Thanks to the persona 'paint' I am liking this game more then the normal EO games. (I haven't played any of the persona games before though.)
If you do not play JRPG's often, you might need to consider this game's length. It is really long. I am 30 hours in and I just arrived at the 4th dungeon. The menus and gameplay can also be a bit daunting at first and it took a while for me to enjoy the characters.
If you have any questions about the game: let me know! I will do my best to answer them.
