Topic: Kingdom Hearts 3D Demo Available Now

Metal Gear Solid is the only video game series that gets me emotional.

...Yeah, KH gets me pretty emotional at times. It also has some of the best parts in Video Games where I feel like a total Bad-a**.

End of 358/2 anyone?

Anyway, while the instrumental does sound good, it doesn't feel as epic to me in the opening scene. I mean, looking at all the other openings, they're just so cool!

I don't believe I could ever become emotional over a game that stars Disney characters.

...Did you watch ANY Disney movie as a child?
Some Disney movies might even make me emotions today...

I don't like it at all. The camera drove me insane and the combat didn't do anything for me. Might be because I've never played a KH game before, but this demo certainly didn't do anything to make me want to spend 40 bucks on one. Definitely giving it a pass.

If you've never played a Kingdom Hearts game before, there's a good chance that this demo is not convincing. It's the story that convinces me the most. Playing KH3D as your first KH game is not the best idea, because you'll probably have no idea what the heck is going on. Sometimes, even followers of the series don't know what's happening! KH is known for being really confusing... the only KH game that I own is 358/2 Days, but I have friends with the other games and I've also watched a lot of YouTube videos.

Ain't that the truth (yes, I know ain't isn't a word, lol). I've played every KH game except BBS (which I watched on YouTube), yet sometimes I feel like I missed something, lol. I'm actually reading through the manga right now (no longer own the previous games) to get a series refresher before Dream Drop Distance.

After playing the demo 3 times (both the tutorial & the story part), I have everything down. Flomotion is a breeze both in & out of combat, I was able to keep the camera under control completely during the boss fight (by gliding around it, and going in for a strike after it launched it's attack), and I've even been able to use normal (non-Flowmotion) combat effectively.

I miss Sora's old voice, lol.

I liked the demo so much that I went out & preordered the game on Friday!!

I had been thinking of getting the game later on, but the demo was so great that I just HAD to have it on release.

Played the demo a few times now. I only have 26 tries left. I see myself using those up pretty fast. lol.

Yes, the demo is really short, but I love the combat, the graphics, flowmotion, etc. Its just awesome. And getting to explore all those new Disney worlds in the full game! Even better!

My main complaint against the last DS game was that all the areas were from the first KH game. It got boring after awhile. But having new worlds in this one, plus flowmotion, dream eaters, etc. Ya, this game is going to be great!

Can't wait to play the full game next month!

I loved the demo, though I knew it would be short since it was only 700-something blocks.

Having already played Birth by Sleep, the controls felt familiar to me.

I'm planning on preordering Kingdom Hearts 3D too, you get 3 AR cards.

Heh. I don't know why everyone wants a simple story. I feel that having an 'all-over the place' story makes you feel great once you put it all together.

Loved the demo sooooo much, can't wait for it to come out! I rather enjoyed the flowmotion combat. It takes some getting use to but once you get it it's awesome
@Tyson Ikr, i spent a good 5 hours last week looking up stuff to put it all together (call me obssessed lol).

You should preorder the Mark of Mastery Edition,you get more stuff.

Although i canceled my preorder,i am still buying the game,but i can get the monsters by simply scanning the cards with the 3DS on the computer and besides they don't even count for 100%.

Huh. I've never played the series or really had any interest, but the demo was much better than I expected. Very polished, fast action and combos, nifty worlds. I enjoyed just bouncing around on the rooftops for a while.

I quite liked the demo, it was really short, but I got my download's worth out of it just by exiting the room and coming back again so the enemies would respawn. I also found the Link Portal and figured out how to switch out and combine with my Spirits, which the tutorial said nothing about. Highlight was getting a Reality Shift off the boss, though.

EDIT: Also, interesting to see just how many people have actually played the entire series. I feel like I'm the only one. Seriously, though, this entry would suck to be your first game in the series, as far as the story goes.

never played KH before and now i know why.

i had absoloutly no idea what was going on the entire demo. and i dont mean story. the combat is very confusing. i dont understand the gameplay at all.

and why the hell is that guy fighting with a giant key?
and what are these things running around with me?
and where the hell am i????

BUT the graphics are really good! still no game for me
