Topic: Is Action Replay DSi compatable with a 3DS when using a DS game?

I've recently gotten DragonQuest IX: Legend of the Starry Skies.
I'm sick of gringing my character and want to bybass all that and continue on with the story.
Will an Action Replay DSi version work in/on my 3DS with a regular DS game?
I've Googled, Bing'd, WebCrawled and Yahoo'd to no avail.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yeah safe bet is just to assume the answer is no. I dont think you want to risk ruining your 3DS. Either that or just play the game on a DS and that way you can use the Action Replay.

Lol, someone accused me of using action replay to cheat on Tetris Axis. I don't know why they even thought it would do anything for a 3DS game.

Please tell me how it could "ruin his 3DS".

Can't Nintendo brick your system if you try to hack it & they notice? It said something like that on the Nintendo's Determined to Beat Hackers news article about a week ago. Anyways, my brother tried it out of curiosity & it doesn't work. I don't have one since I like to beat my games the fair way. However, if you're sick of playing a certain game and won't use it on multiplayer, it doesn't seem that unfair to me.
EDIT: "Although hacking and modding may still be happening, it's be...

it's not like i'm hacking the System. I just want to not have to grind my levels in a DS game.
I don't own any other Systems....

It doesn't work in the 3DS thankfully. It's better to actually play the game the right way. I'd recommend grinding in a slightly harder area if you are able to do so.

That's because it was made for it. Nintendo put some sort of blocker in the 3DS that prevented it from being used. Makes me wish there will never be an Action replay 3D.
