This seems entirely feasible. With the streetpass range being +-30 feet, I don't see why one wouldn't be able to get a few hits from kids, etc. passing by your car on I-95 doing 70ish mph.
Not me sometime ask some of my friends if they know what a 3DS is and they dont. Pitiful inferior humans, not knowing what a 3DS is...

the gamestop near me only sold 36 of the 40 3DS systems they were selling.
so i think my chances of getting any streetpass is pretty slim.
and, the only reason street passing while in a car WOULDN'T work, is the speed of the car. i don't think it would give the 3DS enough time to exchange data and whatnot...

but, i'm not 100% sure. just a guess
Well, if you wre going along next to each other on the highway or something it would be possible. I think it would work, but most people would assume it doesn't and just not have streetpass on while in the car. So the chances are very low.

I think it's possible to get a StreetPass hit in a car... I talked with some random guy on PictoChat in a car and I picked up a C-Gear detection with Pokemon B/W in a car o-o
I think it's less unlikely but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. Cars stop for lights beside each other, and sometimes get stuck in traffic jams. And if you're doing highway driving then there's also when cars are staying at the same relative speed as each other. Though the system will also have to have its wireless on and if it's in the car and someone thinks they might not get a hit in a car to begin with they might just turn the system off to save on battery or something.

I got one once. I lock my 3DS in a drawer at work and I get about one street pass a day. One day as I was leaving work I checked to see if the green light was on and there was nothing but I left it in sleep mode and drove home. When I got home the green light was on!

Its possible, I got one when going 25ish in my town in my car. I was on a bridge, so I don't know if I got a person on the bike path, or driving a car.

But like cnm, I did get a C-gear communication, along with a Pokemon Rumble Blast visitor later that day while still in a car, I still don't know why it didn't count as a streetpass in my Mii Plaza, though...
yup a got one in a car on the freeway! it was really odd because I usually disable wireless in cars because i thought it wasnt possible... now I always have it on haha!
@Jumbif It depends on how many titles you have that support StreetPass. For example, I have SSF4, SM3DL, MK7, and KI:U as StreetPass games. When sending and recieving data, your 3DS will check for each game, making it take longer. Unless you just like to be complete, I recommend deactivating StreetPass for titles you no longer play to streamline the process.
