Was going to get this, but I've heard it's pretty short so I've decided to get Scribblenauts Unlimited instead. However, if I ever find this game on sale I'll try and pick it up. I loved the demo, I just don't want to pay the full price for a fairly short game.

Not sure how long it will last but Amazon is selling Epic Mickey Power of Illusion for $25.

I got this for Chirstmas and have reached the third world, and I'm surprisingly enjoying it so far. The painting and thinning does stop the platforming often, but it hasn't bothered me. The game is slow-paced, but after playing a frantic game like New Super Mario Bros. U, Power of Illusion seems to be relaxing in its pace. Some of the enemies and platforms get tricky to jump on now and then. Despite its apparent shortness, I'm taking my time because of the many sidequests and backtracking, which is probably the real downside of the game to me because they seem to be tacked on and overly simple. I like to read the dialogue of the Disney characters, though, and it's because I'm a Disney fan.

Overall, I think this game is a little underrated. I'd give it a six at least or a seven at most. Not absolutely amazing, but not absolutely horrible either.

I got it for Christmas and its sooooooo awesome! I didn't really like the demo, so I was worried, but the actual game is great.

I beat the game earlier today, and while it is clearly short and I felt the ending was rushed, I have to keep in mind that this is a homage to retro Disney video games that were short and had a simple story. One other flaw I see other than the backtracking and sidequests is the use of painting during the boss battles, which I think seriously messes with the pace of the battle because of constant painting of platforms to fight the boss. Other than that, I still enjoyed this game more than I thought I would after reading NL's scathing review and I still believe its reception has been too harsh.
