The frame rate isn't an issue, it's just that it's sad to see it get a downgrade Vs the Game cube original which was released over 10 years ago, but as we know that amazing stereocopic 3D effect is to blame because it supposably sucks twice the amount of power to run these games, since it's sending two individual images to each eye. You win some, you lose some. But I'd rather get 3D + 30fps Vs 2D +60fps.

As is, you get used to it. It looks fantastic in motion regardless, but the 30fps for super mario 3D land for ex right off the bat was a bit disappointing. Luigi's mansion 2 however is hands down the most beautiful 3DS game i've ever gazed my groovy 'n ghoulish eyes on. :O Mind you, i still haven't played my copy of Kid Icarus:Uprising. :P

Edit: Now on the final manion. The 4th boss was actually pretty neat if you're using the gyro controls to aim Luigi's Cannon Kart, I'll have this baby finished up by tomorrow. I don't think i'll be revisiting the stages again to seek down the Boo's that i haven't found or missing jewels though, Has anybody completed this 100%?

I've completed this game 100%. You get a nice shiny effect on the menu if you do so.

Also, did you know the original Luigi's Mansion was gonna be in 3D like the sequel? Yeah. They changed that when the concept wasn't too feasible for the Gamecube.

That's all you get for 100%ing the game? You shouldn't of spoiled it for me, because i was actually thinking about putting the extra time in and actually going for it, but now....No way, it's not even worth it! :P And pretty interested about the original being in 3D, didn't Nintendo also have motion controls in the card as well for the cube?

This ghost with the most just sent King Boo suckin' all the way down to Banshe island!

Overall it was a pretty good experience(It felt a little bit like a chore at times i'll admit) and easily the most gorgeous 3DS game I've gotten my little mega mits on, in league or even topping RE:Revelations(Then again, that's a whacky comparison since one is gearing towards realism and the other going for a pixar cartoon look), but a clear step up over SM3D Land. Still a little thrown off by the weakling-challenge, but i guess the real challenge is in finding all of the diamonds and Boo's in each mission. But i can't be bothered doing so because that requires you to actually 'finish' each and every single one of those missions AGAIN instead of just being able to leave once you found the boo or remaining diamonds. Sounds a bit....Grueling to me, especially for something as ridiculous as a 'shiny main menu screen' :P

I kind of want to revisit my copy of Luigi's Mansion on the Cube just to see if i'm not blinded by nostalgia....The innovative free roaming C-stick vaccum controls, 60 frames per second and playing it on the big screen I'm sure will make for a more spOOktacular experience. :* And here's hoping LM gets a sequel on the Wii U...They really need to plunk it in first or 3rd person and give Wii remote Plus pointer controls for Luigi's Vaccum....Heck, they might as well release a wii remote Vaccum add-on peripheral, that what would be pretty rad!

So i decided to fire up the original Luigi's Mansion on the Game cube about an hour ago, and it looks like i may of been clouded by some heavy nostalgia with some of my comments i made earlier.

Yeah it's nice that it runs in 60fps, the ghosts have more character and look better rather than super generic stock look they have in Dark moon, the fact that it's not mission based and it doesn't constantly SUCK you back to the professors laboratory like in DM.....But eh, the C-stick controls aren't as good as i remember. They feel fine when you turn left and right, but nintendo foolishly opted for Up being down and down being up which makes it feel pretty darn akward to manouver luigi's vacuum AND and the ghost catching itself super frustrating. Catching ghosts feels watered down and nowhere near as fun as it is in 2. I like how in dark moon you get a meter and how they incorparated button pressing based on when you want to suck in an object or ghost, it makes for a much more satisfying, kinetic, fun and rewarding experience!

So yeah.....Luigi's Mansion on the cube? Not the stunner OR as as intuitive and fun as i remember it being. It may run in 60fps and have better looking ghosts, but Dark Moon completely wipes the floor with it in terms of everything else, especially when it comes to lighting and shading! I think my vote may just go to Dark Moon! :p the frame rate difference isn't even that noticeable either, but i still would of loved to of been able to use the CCPro attatchments analog stick for 1:1 vacuum controls with up actually going up and down vice versa unlike Luigi's Mansions clumsy and broken set up. :P

Geez, i feel like i half-destroyed one of my favorite gamecube memories haha.....Should of just left it as is! :P
