Why is it aggravating? You're not going to buy it either way. Good for people who were waiting for it, after playing the DSi ><L, then going to the 3DS... that's no good.
I was gonna get it. But i realised that the price of the system is about the same price as 5 or 6 new 3ds games. And i would rather spend my money on software than on a system i already have. Plus, i go for play coins alot. I wouldnt exactly be able to fit one in my pocket.

I don't know. Maybe how soon after the original came out seems a lot to put on people who want to get the latest handheld. By the same token is releasing it just some three months before the release of Wii U. I'm not getting one, but it seems they could space big money items out better for their fans.

I'm getting one! My birthday was about a month-and-a-bit ago so I saved up & have enough!
I'm also going on a 3 week holiday to America in september/october so it is perfect timing!

Honestly i don't know how anybody could of stuck with the original DS Phat and not want to upgrade to the Lite. The screen brightness is a complete striking night and day difference and breaths new life into DS titles. The colors look stunning and rich and vibrant on the lite as well.
The lite was too small for my hands, thats why I kept my DS Phat (and still play on it).
I not sure if I want to upgrade my 3DS to a 3DSXL, still need to do a hands-on with the machine itself before considering a upgrade.

I'm getting both. Your choice if you want to buy something or not. As a fan, I wouldn't mind both being released on the same day. Just because something is out doesn't mean you have to buy it (or at least right away).
Everything the XL offers convinces me to get it.. except for the fact that the pixles are bigger.. The bold pixles stand out when in gameplay on the 3DS... and having them XLed on the XL.. NO WAY!
Not extremely into nintendo at the moment, but not really into anything else either. :|

Quite simple I didnt have the money for the DSlite at the time because I didnt have a job. By the time I did get the money I believe they were on the DSi and by than I was comfortable with my original DS and I didnt want a DSi cause I wanted the GBA slot.
I'm more concerned in getting games than a bigger 3DS right now.
Exactly plus I am so saving up for a Wii U, I have the new World of Warcraft expansion coming out next month and I want to get that snazzy looking Power Pad Plus from Nyko so yeah a bigger 3DS is not at the top of my list right now.
Not really, one of the things i love on the 3DS is the design, i mean it is so awesome and beautifull .
In my opinion the 3DS XL is just ugly, and i already played it, and for me it didnt make that much of a difference, of course it is bigger but an handheld isnt suposed to be that big =o
So no, i will not buy one, and i think it is a waste of money ^^ I preffer buying games, BUT if my 3DS crashes i will buy a XL ^^
I chose the standard classic 3DS console. Reasons being is that you can't beat it's sleek design. The new XL one looks a bit budget. I also don't like the silver. I love my Cosmos black. The larger screen on the XL shows off more pixels too.
The 3DS is a handheld, and the original model is perfect for me.
