Topic: Any current 3DS owners not getting the 3ds xl?

Hi

I'm sorry if this topic sounds negative, I really don't mean to make anyone upset. But, I just wanted to hear the opinions of people who have a 3ds but are not getting the xl model.

My personal reasons are partly because of money, there is not really much chance that I could afford one, this year at least. Secondly, because I'm not sure it's screen size will make a huge difference to me.

Anyways, just wanted to hear some comments from others like me

No. Just no. It's just more money down the drain. I'm perfectly fine with my smaller screen, smaller battery, and 2GB Card. I don't need to upgrade. And the graphics would look WORSE when sized up, anyways. I mean, it was made for the small screen. Not the big one.

I'm not "upgrading" because the smaller 3DS can actually fit in my pocket.

not true at all. try one, you'll see. And it does fit the back pocket of my jeans actually... not that i would ever carry it around like that, but it does fit.

If I hadn't bought my original 3ds, then I would've thought about it.

There's no way I'm getting it unless if my current 3DS vaporizes. There's very little reason to get one. This isn't like the GBA to SP or the DS to the DSi.

The colors look brighter, 3D is easier on the eyes and more impressive. Better Anti-Glare, e><tended battery (you can get 7 hours on ma>< brightness). Better stylus placement, better grip and comfort, and matte finish so I don't have to keep wiping it for fingerprints. Especially the inside black on the original 3DS.

It ain't that much bigger then the regular 3DS closed, still fits in my pocket. (Though I have a pair of jeans with pockets that not even the regular 3DS fits).

Also I can see Zen Pinball well now.

So many people in this thread seem to be getting one, I didn't expect that.

The more I read/see/hear about the XL, the more I want one. I don't plan on getting one anytime soon, I'm waiting for a better color, or maybe a limited edition bundle.

I just hope when the XL launches, game stores will have the updated version of the 3Ds, not the stupid pre eShop versions with only find mii 1 and 7 puzzles, they should allow customers to try out eShop stuff like the demos and spacific eShop titles. Plus I see little kids enjoying the camera, but since it's pre June 2011 it doesn't have the Recorder.... It's a pain and I don't blame people for skipping the 3DS when all they see is a downgraded DSi

If the 3ds was originally released as the 3ds xl, I wouldn't have been so hesitant to get the original. But I'm not forking over another $200 for it's improvements.
